As they drove silently down the Montreal highway on a crisp evening in the fall of 2016, they glanced towards each other thinking back to what had just happened. Less than an hour earlier, the night sky was clear and as they raised their axes in the air they felt a strike of lightning. It was a surge no mortal man could survive.
