I am always happy visiting Karen’s Hallmark. Staff are cheerful and very helpful. I love the cards and gifts selections. It’s a great place to shop!

This is quite literally the worst Hallmark, most of the people working in the store are extremely rude and unhelpful. Before writing this review I have given this store a few chances. They won’t sell you ornaments off the display when the are already sold out, but other stores will. Doesn’t make much sense to me. Last year I ended up calling another store about twenty minutes away and they were happy to actually sell me an ornament off the display, were extremely kind, and went out of there way to give me a better experience after having left this store. I hope this helps someone else, if you are looking for an ornament that’s potentially sold out or want to be treated with good customer service don’t bother with this store.
I am so sad that I have to write this review. I am not one to post bad reviews about stores or call stores managers to tell them about an unpleasant shopping experience I had. I understand that people have bad days, I worked in retail during college. However, the experience I had in this store and how uncomfortable I was made to feel by two associates based on my appearance, should never happen to anyone and no one should be made to fell that way. Please read! I will try to make this short. I walked into the store to buy gift for my coworkers. I was not greeted or said hi to. I walked around the store as the associates were going up to other customers in the store to tell them about the 12 days of Christmas promotion that was happening, and asking the customers is they needed help with anything. Never once did anyone come up to me and say one word to me. Anyways, I found a sign that I liked and picked it up off a table and was deciding if I wanted to buy the item. One of associates walked up to me and asked if I wanted her to hold the item for me, there were plenty of other customers in the store holding the items in their hands and no associates ever asked them if they wanted to hold anything for them I said no thank you because I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy it. I decided against the item put the item back where I had picked it up and walked over to the little towel area. While I was standing there, I heard one of the associates tell another associate “she is up to something, we better watch out. She had that sign I her hand...” As they proceed to stare at me, they walked over to the sign I had in my hand and investigated it as if I had done something to it. I was not okay with this, I walked up to the ladies very politely asked them if I just heard them say I was up to something? They rudely said “no why would you think that?” I said, “b/c I just heard you say that b/c I had that sign in my hand.” They were rude and said, “well this sign does not go here”, l said, “well that is where I had picked up the sign”. They proceeded to say I was lying and then just avoided the situation. I left the store, went out to my car in shock about what had just happened I would never steal this is against my character, and called my mom crying. My mom said I need to get their names and ask for the store manager. She stayed on the phone with me as I did this. Both associates were very rude and nasty as my mom heard while she was on the phone listening to the conversation, as I politely asked for this information. The next morning I called the manager, I told her I was profiled against and told her what had happened. She was kind of dismissive about the matter and basically said there is nothing she can do about it. She did apologize for maybe the situation being handled wrong I’m not sure what this means. Furthermore, the ladies lied to her and told her that after I left the store I went out to talk to a group of people. This is a lie. As I stated above, I went to my car to call my mom in shock about what had just happened. I told the manager this is not acceptable and asked for the General Manager’s information. I called the GM and she has yet to get back to me. I hope she does soon. Sorry this is so long, but I had to share my experience. No one should ever be made to feel this way while shopping. If this ever happens to you please stick up for yourself. Also, this store has another review discussing racial profiling as well. Sounds like this store needs some training, new associates and/or manager.
Was treated rudely. I’m typically not one to assume treatment is based on my looks but based on other reviews im reading it looks like that’s precisely what happened. My husband and son were also treated rudely on a separate occasion . I definitely won’t be back.
Great selection of greeting cards and gifts
The store was very clean and organized. However, the customer service was HORRIBLE. None of the employees acknowledged me when I walked in the store. I was walking around the store looking at different items and none of the employees asked if I needed help. They were too busy conversing at check out. If I didn’t need a last minute gift I would’ve left.

This seems to be an ongoing occurrence when I step foot into this location. I’m not sure if it’s a race issue, ageist issue, or just a customer service issue. The ladies behind the counter always greet and spend extra time and care w/ everyone except my husband and I that have visited on more than one occasion. Every time I’ve stepped foot inside I’ve either felt watched or just neglected as far as customer service interaction goes. They whisper or stare or just get quiet and try to hurry us through the transaction. I’m done.
I will never buy from this store! I went in to do a return! And the lady at the counter immediately said , we don’t carry this item , did you buy it here. Of course, I told her there’s the receipt! She then called another associate, they keep on and on . Looking In the purse checking it out, mind you I never even took it out the bag once I purchase it. She kept saying I’ve never seen this before ever. And I said okay , well I purchased it here. I’ve never in my life have been treated that way. Like I was lying. I told what was the issue. And she said it again. I just never seen this purse before! She finally processed my return very reluctantly. Worst experience ever!!
