Super New Years hike to Crockett Point... What a great place. We have only scratched the surface on all that is available. We will definitely come back and do other routes. The view from the point is really super. It is a lovely area. Parking is a bit limited... Not sure where to park for overflow if the lot is full. Great area and not to be missed!
Great hiking, and dog friendly. Plenty of interesting terrain and elevation changes. There a couple nice view points.
It's hard not to give this hidden gemstone a 5-star review. If I give everyplace 5 stars, then my reviews will be suspect. I live just two miles from this natural wonder. It's a wonderful town park and it's loaded with geology, ponds, stunning views across Lake Wickwas and more. On a nice summer or fall day you can take the one long loop trail and eat lunch, or a snack, at the one granite outcropping overlooking the lake. The trails are very well maintained. I always feel safe here. My last trip was with my family while my oldest daughter was in town visiting from California. Here are both my daughters looking out across Wickwas Lake.
This place has trails for everyone. Easier trails are the blue ones, red for a little more of a challenge. Keep the dog on leash near the ledges!
This was a great find! I never knew these trails existed. We did a two mile relatively easy hike but there are lots of options. It is icy so I would suggest cramp ons.
Well marked trails and nice woods!
A nice trail system that has many options for length. The area is well mapped and will maintained.
One of the best little lake's in the state, first fished it at 6 yrs old 45yrs ago, there's never a bad day on Wicwas, grandkids had a great day
Beautiful trails, easy to follow paths with signage, and the Crockett’s Ledge is worth the hike via the yellow trail.
Trails are well maintained, a good variety of loop trails, nice views, and silence. Love that it's rarely crowded. Very peaceful.
