Hampson Museum State Park

What a wonderful surprise! Driving back to MO, we saw the sign on the highway and decided to stop in. Great display of artifacts and also has hands-on, interactive exhibits. Entry is donation-based. We only visited the museum, but it's located in an adorable town square with a grocery store & cafe, among other businesses.

Very cool place. Great quick stop to learn and stretch your legs. Super friendly staff.

Very nice history of the peoples of this area. Unfortunately, the site was sold for farm land. It is a great little museum

Small museum but they are moving to a new building soon. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.

Gave 3 because it's not open... Will open soon in its new location in July 2018. When we return I'm sure it will be great : Wilson seems like a quaint town, though.
