The Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company was organized in 1900 to provide emergency services to the Town Hampstead and surrounding communities of Carroll and Baltimore Counties.
We currently operate out of a single station on Main Street in Hampstead, Maryland and we are dispatched by the Carroll County 911 center. We have 2 Engines, 1 Truck, 1 Brush Unit, 2 Paramedic equipped ambulances, and 2 utility vehicles.
The Hampstead Volunteer Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 is dedicated to protecting and preserving the lives, property, and environment of the citizens and visitors of the communities to which we serve. We will achieve this by providing the highest levels of fire suppression, rescue services, and emergency medical care through continual training, public education, and emergency response.
