Super 1 Mart of Hannam Chain Super Market is always super packed. It can have some good deals but it’s good to compare between here and HMart across the street. I like the seafood selection here and they will clean and descale the fish quickly for you.
Good place for Korean produce and other things. American brands are really expensive though so go to other stores if you want cleaning supplies and such but overall it a good Asian market.
Just go to H-mart to avoid the negativity and smell, same kind of products offered without the Sour people. Only place I have ever been consistently racially profiled, followed and bothered by hostile and unfriendly security throughout my entire time shopping. I was keen to be very silent, respectful and amicable but the security was targeting me in an unfriendly unprofessional embarrassing manner. Though I acted normal, the security's actions were disgustingly hostile and ridiculous. This is probably done to discourage me from returning despite being a regular paying customer, I got glared at and spoken to like an uneducated thief on my first visit buying things..... Definitely was not treated like the other Asian customers that got their own peace and space while shopping....I cant change the color of my skin or ethnicity but I can change where my money is spent and invested. The racist vibe was disgusting and hostile, I thought it was completely gone in socal but it definitely found it's home in the Hannah Chain Super Market in Buena Park, at least within the security guard, everyone else was fine.
Very nice and good quality food and service. Fresh veggies, seafood, and meat. Also, Korean snacks and drinks. Don't forget a cashback reward card. Ask cashier. Good for you
This was my first time to step inside of this Super market. This place carried most of the popular items from Asian country. It was obviously because their customers were from Korea. They also carried other products and groceries for their other groups. Even the place was big, but their products were very organized and fresh. This market was very busy with customers, and the sale they constantly advertised. It was very simple because each corner there were other like Zion Market and H Mart just across streets to each other. So with this competition no wonder they all in competition to each other for business. Overall, l really liked this place , because it has its unique on the products which I found and fit to my needs.
So this is the Buena Park outlet of the Korean supermarket chain called Hannam Chain Store. This one is a bit larger than the one on Olympic Blvd in Koreatown. The live seafood, kimchee, and gifts selection is larger than the Koreatown version. Also the food court offers a bit more venues. If you come near Buena Park this a good choice for reasonably priced Korean supermarket .
Lots of seafood fresh and frozen as well, fruit and veggies at very good price. Store is kind of messy with too many stuffs in the alleys. Price and freshness guaranteed, but not pleasure shopping.
Always busy... that's good. But, they really do not care how the customers are really want. Working people are there, but they are just put more things in. Frozen foods are displayed in walking area...no ice present. And, also I asked for a calendar for New Year at the end of payment. Do you know how the answer was? The lady said, "Where were you when they were here? They're gone!" She didn't even mention like "I am deeply sorry. I will try saving one for you next year. Thank you and have a nice day". Anyway, this happened on 23rd of December, 2022. Happy Holidays everyone!
I dropped my wallet in the restroom, then I went into the restroom to look for my wallet. When I was looking for my wallet, the security guard was very disrespectful and refused to make any attempt to check the lost and found to see if my wallet was in there. Every time I asked him if he could look in the lost and found to see if someone found it my wallet that had all of my money in it, he started screaming at me. He never made any attempt to check the lost and found. He also wouldn't even attempt to answer my question as to wether or not he was going to check the lost and found. He didn't even treat me like a human being, I was trying to talk to him respectfully at first, but he can't expect me to just ignore the fact that I lost my wallet In that's super market and they can't even check in the lost and found. All he did was point towards the exit and occasionally physically push me to the door.
Horrible smells like fish everywhere prices are sky high. But if your looking for unique fruits and good beef then this is the place.
