Been here 4x already and the food never disappoint. One of the best to serve galbitang and donkatsu if I typed them all correctly. Make sure you come early before lunch or dinner time as they gets pretty busy and crowded. Although their parking lot is small, don't get discouraged as you can park along Mcneil lane too for street parking. It's just a few steps away from the restaurant.
Welcoming atmosphere, great food, amazing service. We were not familiar enough with Korean cuisine, but waitress helped with it, made recommendations which dish to prefer at the first time, how to serve it and what to taste. Portions are huge, food is delicious. Perfect serviceRecommended dishesDon-Katsu Pork Cutlet,
Get the the galbi tang beef shortrib soup - it is their specialty and it is outstanding. We originally ordered the ox bone soup, and the lady looked at us and commented, in Korean, "So I see you're not going to order the dish that made us fameous?" Well, with a comment like that we had to get it - the galbi tang!! And yes it is outstanding. Short rib meat is soft, tendon is tender, soup is perfectly seasoned and rich amd hearty. Kimchee is fresh and crunchy and exactly the way I love it!! I'm so glad I came here and had the galbi tang.
Great portions. Great tastes. I often order Galbi Tang and pork cutlet which are delicious. Their kimchi is the best. Don't try the cold Buckwheat noodles if you are not Korean, it tastes weird to me. Their parking lot challenges me all the time.Food: 5/5
My perspective about this restaurant: The soup was warm & simple no flavor. If you choose the food to go. They charge you for that. Other limitations if you dining and you don’t finish the food, that became a waste, because is not available to go if you dining at the place. The dining area is limited or you will take the parking lot. The prices are not competitive are expensive for the type of ingredients they use $24.16 for a single person I select #8 Korean BBQ Beef Bibimbap the stake has nerve and fat. That is not a good beef. The presentation of the plate is not appealing, that can give some value to the dish. They have a vending coffee machine that is working fine, for the waiting time in the cold weather.
** Write your name on the waitlist as soon as you get here. Keep in mind this is a busy place with both an indoor and an outdoor seating area. Every time I come there is a wait, but this place is worth the wait. Like most Korean restaurants, you will have to flag down the server to order or ask for more of something. I like to order as soon as the server is giving us our water, so then I don't have to flag them down. : We ordered galbi tang 9/10, ox knee bone soup 9/10, bulgogi dol-sot bibimbap 8.5/10, and bibim naengmyeon 9/10. My go to is the ox knee bone soup or the galbi tang because I like tendons and galbi. I really like the radish kimchi since it is a bit fermented, but if you like fresh kimchi, then the regular kimchi is good. If this is your first time, then sul lung tang is a classic a must try Parking: a personal parking lot that can fit like 16-18 cars. Inside: only like 9 tables and women and men bathrooms along with a togo section. But their service is pretty quick, so people are in and out Gloomy chilly day for some warm soup
Food not as good as before. Soup lost taste, katsu undercooked.. was confirmed to receive sauces but not provided. Things happen but if it happens in consecutive fashion,.. I feel bad.Food: 1/5
Great service! When we ordered they warned us about the amount and the taste to make sure we got the best experience. We definitely ordered too much, but they have great food. I recommend the ox knee sullungtang! They have great service for those who aren't used to eating Korean food, they tell you how it's eaten and what sauce is for which food when they bring it out to you.
One of the first things I noticed even before entering the restaurant was the sign that said you can't take the leftover kimchi and take it home which I thought was funny cause why would they need to put up such a sign. We ended up ordering the yuk gae jang which was quite good and wasn't overly spicy. And my gf got the short rib soup which the meat was really really tender, yum! And after trying their kimchi I understand why they have the sign up, it's some good mild kimchi with notes of underlying sweetness which my gf agreed was quite good! This coming from a person who doesn't really like kimchi cause it's spicy most of the time, speaks volumes to the umami of this kimchi and why the sign. We enjoyed the meal on a nice cold morning so I would definitely come back for the soups and kimchi!
I always crave this. It's so bomb!! If you are anywhere near this you must stop by for some Beef Rib Soup Galbi-Tang. Or try anything else on the menu, it's all so good!! My wife gets the Spicy Beef Soup Yuk Gae Jung. The servers and owners are all really nice, always a wonderful experience here. Take-out and delivery are awesome too! Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome. Great place for families! Parking: The lot is kind of small but for the size of the restaurant I've never had any issues. It's a one way lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Small place with two wide open doors. Very easily accessible. All are welcome!
