hand work studio is a community artspace & studio for anyone serious (or curious) about art. It's a place where children & adults may come to express their inherent creative nature. Working to accommodate both the beginning & experienced artist, we offer facilities, workshops and private studio space in a supportive and creative environment. We believe in art making as central to community building. Shared creative expression leads to shared visions and the emergence of a compassionate collective life. Artists at hand work studio are self-described. They determine the meaning and value of their own work. As members of the community of artists, they help envision and decide the direction of the programming and they support and inspire each other through informal contact and involvement in the creative community at large.
