This place is amazing, after you eat here you can clearly see why there is a wait and reservations are always full, must call in advance. They do have seating inside and outside. From the front door to the tables everyone is very friendly. You can see how good the food looks while you are waiting for your table. The shrimp and Grits best I ever had, Lobster Roll and fish and chips were awesome. When we were greeted by our server, she dropped off a cute little bowl of Goldfish crackers, took our drink and food order. For as busy as it was the food came out quickly. The place has a great little atmosphere. When the server brought us our check, she dropped off another little bowl, this time it was filled with dark chocolate delicious. They have a Bloody Mary that you can design how you would like it, and daily specials. The restaurant was clean inside and outside, restrooms were clean. I hope you all enjoy this place as much as our family did. Thank you!
We had an early dinner/late lunch and it was fabulous. The view and the services are excellent. Food came out in no time and it was delicious. Gustavo, our waiter was super attentive and making sure we had a great dinning experience. I loved the place.Food: 5/5
Great place on the wharf near the pier. Outside dining provides a great view of the marina. The service was friendly and fast. We were seated immediately and order taken within minutes by a gracious wait staff. Being from Louisiana, I'm super picky about how oysters are cooked and these were on point. Flash fried to perfection and the coleslaw was not too sweet, a little on the pickled side which is my favorite. We also had the glazed chicken that was fall off the bone tender. Overall a very good dining experience and great atmosphere.
Tried to make a reservation online, but it showed full until 9pm. We ended up walking in and they found a table for us right away. Service was great. It was efficient and friendly. The appetizers were seafood based. For example the deviled eggs were topped with lobster. They were slightly spicy and had a good flavor. The seafood fettuccine was full of shrimp, Lobster, and the small type of scallops. It was a bit spicier than the eggs. But the seafood seemed fresh. There was lots of inside and outside seating with nice views of the Wharf and docked boats.
A really great place for some seafood. I showed up here without a reservation while waking the Wharf looking for dinner. There weren’t any tables but they managed to get me two seats at the bar which was totally fine considering it was the middle of a dinner rush. It was clearly very busy but our server was very attentive to us. I also greatly appreciated that the server let me turn the cold lobster roll in a hot one. Food was delicious, price was as expected, atmosphere was lively, service was great.
Place was packed for lunch. We sat at the bar. Friendly waiter. Great food too. Some of the sandwiches were unique and special. I want to go back for their oysters. Prices were a bit high, but there were a few well priced menu items.Food: 5/5
Had dinner tonight at Hank's Oyster Bar at the Wharf. The food was average. We loved the oysters, but my wife hated her salad, and my crab cake sandwich was average. I'd say that the atmosphere was ok, our experience overall was extremely rushed. We were finished with dinner less than 35 minutes after we sat down. I love expedited service, but this may have been the fastest dinner out that I've ever experienced in my life and not in a good way.
Delicious food and the view! How can this not be 5. The burger was very good. The taste of the Gouda cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions was perfect. With slight char on the patty this made it excellent. My husband had oysters which he enjoyed too. My drink was visually pretty and was good but it could have been a bit sweeter. Lemony flavor with sparkling water is what it seemed like to me. Service was very good and she helped kindly with deciding our choices. Loved it
It’s a reliable place to go. I liked the light breading on my shrimp in my po boy. Goldfish are a cute touch and I am sure folks like the chocolate at the end. New England clam chowder was decent. Not super thick or creamy. And not bacon heavy.Food: 5/5
Nice venue/restaurant tucked in the Wharf here in Washington, DC. I went on a Thursday evening, it wasn’t too crowded , there’s inside and outside sitting. I started my meal with the crab dip - it was okay , I would’ve preferred more lump crab and it seemed like more cheese than crab but for $16 I’m not surprised. I then ordered the shrimp po’boy it was good, but it was lacking sauce for me, I needed sauce inside the sandwich and on top of my shrimp , the food took a while to get to the table. And the coleslaw was soupy. My friend ordered the crab cake sandwich and she enjoyed her crab cake, stating that there were little to no fillers. So that’s good , the waiter was amazing I forgot his name but he did an amazing job checking on us, though the food was taking long he wanted to make sure we had what we needed I can’t say fully I will recommend this place but I will say if your in the area check it out. The 4 stars is because of the amazing staff from the host, crew, waiter, and manager. All were friendly!
