Not a bad local place. Service was a little slow. Nice view out the window to see the river. Outdoor seating is available, too. Staff was friendly enough and the place was clean, overall. Well stocked bathroom with cool stall door. Steak bite appetizer was pretty good. I liked it better when it was Brewster's. But those days are long gone. I wouldn't think you'd be disappointed to visit this place.
The good was amazing. The hamburger was perfectly cooked. Sweet potato fries were great. Salmon wrap was very tasty and the onion petals were yummy.Food: 5/5
Really nice place with a view of the river as the name implies. Lot of riverview seating. The food was very good as well. The kitchen sink burger was really good, and my wife had the house salad with chicken and said it was excellent. Really liked this place and will be back for sure when in Three Rivers.Food: 5/5
In a little town, in the middle of very southern Michigan called Three Rivers, there's a place called Hank's Tavern on the River. These are Honey Sriracha and Nashville Hot. Some of the best flavors I've ever had & the meat of the chicken was simply delicious. 10 out of 10. Kid-friendliness: Outdoor seating, kid's menu, crayons
Food was really great and reasonably priced! Shrimp Pesto Wrap and the Chicken Burrito were very good! Sweet pepper crab soup was delicious! Great wait staff. We're coming back again soon. Relaxing view of the St. Joe River from the dining room and the patio.Food: 5/5
Love the location of this tavern, right next to a river which assists in providing a good view for the customers. Their staff is friendly and patient when it comes to taking orders. I ordered cheese curds, chicken lettuce wraps, and tacos, which were all really good. The peanut sauce which comes with the lettuce wrap was delicious. For drinks I got the chocolate martini, also tasty but strong. Overall my experience was really good and I would defintiely love to visit it again when I'm in Three Rivers, MI.
Disappointed! Reviews read and our expectations from the majority of reviews about the food were not met. Dinner salad A+ : nice large dinner salad. Steak Bite Appetizer B : Steak juicy and tender. The sauce served with it was rather odd in a way where you were confused as to whether you liked it or not and also too runny. I would have given it an A if there was maybe some toast triangles served with it. Cod Basket B- : Cod was frozen prebreaded fish. Guess we should have asked. Coleslaw cabbage was cut in 1-inch wide pieces, had no flavor making it difficult to eat. The tartar sauce was comercially prepared and not very good lacking flavor as well. French fries were excellent. Shrimp Tacos A- : Shrimp tacos were good but needed additional filling as they were only 1/3 filled. I added the coleslaw from my partners Cod basket to the shrimp tacos. They were fabulous after adding the coleslaw. The sauce on the shrimp tacos is balanced with the addition mellowed the spicy flavor. Tortilla chips were perfect but 2 oz of salsa is not near enough. Service was great! But you know food is not great when you ask the waiter about something and they pause and give a vague reply like 'it depends on who is cooking'. I felt sorry for the waiter as they are the first to be berated by an unhappy customer. The owner/manager needs to really discuss customer complaints no less than weekly with staff and resolve them. Probably will not be back with prices today we can't risk the bad food cloud. Good luck and may the odds be with you to anyone that tries this restaurant.
Gumbo is without flavor, taste like vegetable soup with sausage cooked for a long time until all the flavor has been cooked out. Waitress is awesome, dining area was dirty we tge first customers of the day. We won't be backFood: 1/5
Decent enough place! Cool atmosphere. Nice people. A little pricy on the food, especially for the amount you're given. chicken strips Maybe stay away from stopping in on Mondays, service was terrible 6/26. Can't go wrong with the basket of fries though. It's huge!
They take time to give you your food but it's amazing, it absolutely worth the time. They bring the drinks fast, they worry about how you feel and they are very kind with costumers. They know how to treat people, this is real costumer service. Waiters and waitresses are amazing and they always ask if you are enjoying the experience. Is not an expensive place, so you can come with your family. An amazing place to stay with the people you love.
