You can arrive up to 2 hours before your appointment. My total time there was 5.5 hours. They do have restrooms.
People are pretty nice. Docks are tight. In the end it’s a grocery warehouse so it’s a miserably long unload time for some reason. Almost six hours to unload. No overnight parking either and the pilot across the street is pretty tiny. Does have reserved spots but … if you think the docks at this place are tight, just wait until you try to park at the pilot afterwards.
This is my first time it’s okay not to bad, For the truckers. No overnight parking,There is a Pilot right across the road from this facility, with very limited parking and some reserved spots. You may arrive up to 2 hours early. Check in with guard shack and give him Paperwork, and phone number. After that he will assign you to a designated spot on the staging area. He instructs you that when you park, someone will call you to drop off paperwork at a specific office.105 when unload is done they call for pickup the paperwork.
I went in with the mindset that I was going to have the same experience as everyone else that left a review. But we all have different experiences. Appointment was for 4am.. arrived 3:30 and out the door 6:15 am Docks are very tight and small tight parking spaces
Major pain to bring freight to. Very tight docks, trailers parked opposite docks are always placed by shag drivers with trailer noses out to the very ends of their slots and usually hanging well beyond that they could easily push trailers 8-10 feet further in; just enough to make backing into docks difficult and increase the danger of drivers scraping one another trying to back in. I deliver weekly into the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens and the tightest places are easier to get into that this place. Pretty bad. Then, get into the dock and wait 4 hours to be unloaded.
No overnight parking. Take 5-6 hours to unload you. Very less space to back your semi on dock. And they charge lumper too. Only take comcheck or cash.
Directions US 9 north. Turn right onto Kingsman Rd. Truck Entrance on right then stay left to guard shack. Pull up to the window to check in. Arrive 2 hours before appointment time. No early arrival parking or overnight parking. No lumper fees. Tight backing into all spots or doors. Especially when drivers do not back into waiting spots across from dock doors. Back up into grass please!
Not a bad place.. Showed up almost 2 hours early, checked in at gate, was sent to an assigned spot to wait, the parking spots are numbered, didn't get called until my appointment time but I needed a nap anyway . Called to a door, checked in inside, unloaded quickly, reasonable lumper, I paid with cash. Pretty straightforward and everyone had a good attitude.
Grate experience for me! In and out like in 1h. I was delivering water, I didnt have lumper, so thats a plus lol No overnight, pilot is across the street.
Under normal circumstances, I’m sure this place is fine. We went to check in early a day, because there was a storm coming, and I knew it would cause problems. They of course turned us away, because standard practice is to check in only 2 hours before your appointment. Normally that’s fine, but the day we were scheduled was also the day the storm would hit, and they ended up shutting the facility completely. They didn’t tell anyone, drivers didn’t find out until they were turned away at the gate, and both my dispatch and the broker were caught completely by surprise. This was not a sudden storm, it was known about for days. Knowing they were going to shut down, they should have worked in the early trucks to try and alleviate some of the absolute nightmare the day after would become. On a brighter note, they no longer charge lumper fees.
