They guy who serves the food during the weekdays was outside picking his nose the last time I came here - and I do mean the LAST time. I went inside and he went straight to the counter to take my order without washing his hands. Never going back. I hope the owner reads this review. It makes me wonder how careful they are during this Covid-19 outbreak as well. Food isn't very good anyways, just convenient. Also the cheap lighter I bought there blew up in my face while using it. They also allow people to get drunk and do drugs in their side parking lot. Never going back, the nose-picker was the last straw.
Great place for food if you don't know about it got ribs chicken and turkey great barbecue here come here come get it I love their food.
Do Not Shop Here. Unhelpful, rude and unfriendly. I normally don't leave comments unless the event or place is exceptionally woderful and enjoyable. This is the First time I have ever left a negative review. This place was less then desirable. It was dreadful, awful, non-enjoyable. This is one of the worst experences I've had to endure. This little eatery/food store Happy Hollow Market and Liquor I was treated badly in this store. I was next door particapating in a Walk for Autisum and shooting drone footage for the event. This place is right next to the Historical part of Happy Hollow Park and Zoo. I go into the store to get something to eat and asked the attendant if he charged for using a debit card. He stated that there was a fee and I then asked him if I could get cash back as well as my purchases. He stated No. So I asked if there was a bank arround? He said there was one a couple of blocks away. I'm standing there on foot with my camera equipment in hand. I started to walk to the bank and notice a sign outside the store that said ATM inside? What didn't the attendee offer up the ATM it was right there. They would rather send their coustomers away? It seems a resonable business owner would have offered the ATM at hand and kept the coustmer in the store to spend money? Very unfiendly and rude. Do not go to this place if your life depended on it. I called this market just now to see if they were open and had a certain item. The man who answered said "yes" to my question how late are you open". After clarifying the hours, I asked if he carried popsicles and he said I dunno with a disgusting tone in his voice and then hung up in my ear. So...... I'm with the other guy who stated how rude and unhelpful this place is. If I could give less than one star, I would have.
The BBQ is great. We always come back for more. The attendants are really nice. I give them 100% on rapport.
