Great place, great prices and always friendly service but this one time I asked an employee about hood attachments for a farm jack for my jeep..he said he wasn't sure so went in back and brought the jack out and tried to put it in my cart ,I told him I'm not buying it I just wanted to know if hood attachments came with the jack so as he was returning it to the back room he made a snotty remark about how heavy it was and I should have just asked about the hood attachments...I quickly reminded him that that was my first question to him...mind you a farm jack only weighs about 50 pounds
I recently yesterday purchased a welder from the W. Springfield store. After seeing it advertised on line for $169.00 I was told by a sales rep. that the advertised price was for members only. I thought this was a bit deceiving however I decided to become a member to get the discount price as I was purchasing other related items. The store had one of these welders left on their shelve. The box it came in was pretty beat up so I had the rep. open it up to make sure it wasn’t damaged. After getting it home 35 miles away it was obvious it had been previously purchased, returned and put back in stock. After carefully reading the manual I attempted to try the welder, well it didn’t work. I’m guessing someone else went through this same scenario and returned it to the store only to be placed on the shelf again. I guess I should have listened to my gut feeling and passed on this unit. I did however return it to the Boston Rd. store and exchanged it for a functional unit without any hassle. Going forward I will limit my Harbor Freight purchases to smaller simpler tools and shop at the Boston Rd. Store only.
It was nice not to have to hunt down a informed staff member. As always great prices.
Manager at this store is amazing! Helped me out after I had a return that was messed up. Everyone at this store is super friendly, especially during Covid, I’m sure turnover isn’t easy to deal with. They are definitely keeping it together here though.
Decent products at decent prices. They have a lot of stuff too. Good amount of stock too.
Great prices on so many different items.
I ended up getting a few things, the prices were good and the people were nice, friendly and helpful. I bought a buffer / polisher and ended up going with the warranty so if anything happens to it in the next 15 months it will be replaced no questions asked, even if I'm at fault.
Staff are extremely helpful and had the tool I needed with an open box discount. Can't beat it! If you are buying a big or more expensive tool and you don't mind it having scraches and what not, I recommend asking if they have what you need already open or discounted. Plus my purchase came with a 1 yr membership allowing for additional discounts and other perks.
