Ambience is the word for it. The only way it could be better is if there was live music. The staff was amazingly friendly. The food was mediocre in general because after all it is an island but that was at the bar and for lunch. The dinners in the past have always been fabulous, but since I haven't been back for 20 years since Lombard around the restaurant, I'm guessing I need to have dinner before I do an actual review, at which time I will revise this review.
Great breakfasts and lunch .Great customer service. Food took a while. It was worth it. You were busy. Cause your the only restaurant in town. I understand. Thank you.Food: 5/5
This place is a kick in the pants for the Two Harbors crew. Solid food, helpful staff and plenty of libations to celebrate the day, afternoon, evening…. Well worth the visit!Recommended dishesCaesar Salad
The environment and staff are incredible! We were very well taken care of and sat outside on the beach table. It was beautiful. However, the food was very mediocre. The fish was way over cooked and dry from both the maui sandwich and the fish and chips. I was so disappointed by this because a restaurant on the beach on an island should know how to cook fish well or at least so its not dry. I had to add ranch to my sandwich just to choke down the dry fish. The fries are ok, but on the menu it says crisp and I didn't agree with that assessment. The drinks were really good though. It's a really cool place, but they need to up their game on the food since they are the only restaurant choice. I'd rather bring packed lunches than eat here again which is sad. I may give them another shot, but they really need to Google cook times for fish. I really do hope they read this and make some changes because of they did better with the fish, I would highly recommend. The flavors were really good too.
I love their Buffalo milk cocktail. I also tasted the best clam chowder I’ve ever tried in Los Angeles so far. So creamy with a lot of clams. So good.
The fish and chips were surprisingly delicious. The Buffalo milk was over-hyped but the piña colada was actually pretty good. Wait time was quick even though the place was packed. The only thing they could improve on is the very wobbly tables that were dirty and replace the many burnt out lights. Solid place to go for expensive food though!
Visited the 3rd and the 6th day while backpacking the TCT. Got the Pastrami Sandwhich both times!Food: 5/5
Opens at 5pm on the dot ....salmon wife ordered really yummy . My bison burger was delicious. Waitress was really nice and knowledgeable of the menu.
This restaurant is truly a blessing after hiking the trans-catalina trail from Little Harbor 4.5 miles almost all uphill The food was pricey but not too expensive to enjoy this island restaurant. It was packed with a mixture of boaters and hikers with everyone chatting away about their adventures. I had the fish and chips and after the long hike, it really hit the spot. Cleaned the entire plate and will be coming back in late September when I complete the entire hike from Avalon to Two Harbors!!
Love the buffalo milk. Prices are higher, but this is an island where they have to import everything and totally expected. Staff was awesome even on a crazy weekend with hundreds of people.Food: 5/5
