Be a great school if the teachers/principles were not so racist. Be smart parents and keep notes of any problems your child may have, especially if he/she is mixed race.
School puts in minimal effort for safety. Fights happen everywhere, there's a sad excuse for a fence next to the cliff and all around bad experience. Also make it easier to transfer classes. Can't say I'll miss it
I went here for 4 years. It's a pretty good school with the best cardboard cutouts of a person in the area. Like any public school, the computers may or may not work depending on the time of day, phase of the moon and day of the week. Same goes for the wifi, although it seems like it's improved quite a bit recently. Half the school is guaranteed to have wifi at any given time. The majority of the teachers are great educators and kind people, though I've heard from other students that some teachers are less popular for various reasons. The school's atmosphere is very cheerful most of the year, with somewhat frequent events and pep rallies. This is also the only school in the area that has a band program. After spending 4 years in that I can confirm it is quite popular. This school also has a good selection of trades programs available to the older students, though there are significantly fewer compared to when this was a vocational school. It's actually impossible to get lost here unless you're looking for room 330 as the school's layout is quite straight, with all of the rooms properly labelled. Can't say anything about the quality of the cafeteria as I never used it, and as far as I know it didn't reopen after COVID. The school supposedly has a swimming pool, but I've never seen it and therefore cannot confirm or deny its existence. There's plenty of clubs here if you seek them out, from drama and band to much more obscure things like gardening and Dungeons & Dragons club. The sports teams aren't the best but occasionally win a few games. Student council gets things done more often than not. Avoid the park during the lunch hour and you should be fine. 5/5 It's a pretty aight school, I only got lost twice.
I heard they’ve put litter boxes in the washrooms for the mentally disturbed kids who’s parents have failed them . You know the kids that think they are animals , and dress accordingly ! What a bunch of loons !!
I am sitting in class and people are screaming getting punched and being clawed at for a scavenger hunt. 10/10 I’m not gonna drop out
Easily the best school in the city. If people say otherwise, they're wrong or flat out lying. It's the only school with a positive learning environment where you can get stuff done.
I have had one child graduate from this school and one now in grade nine. I can't begin to praise the variety of courses offered and the fabulous teachers who always go above and beyond for their students.
Old and beautiful building on Douglas Av.
The school is a loving environment. Everybody in the school feels welcome and feels part of the family.
really nice school but tech teacher is mean miss marsh
