Comfortable and spacious indoor space. The yucca fries are great - perfectly fried. The ropa vieja mofongo has great taste though I think the ropa vieja could have been more finely shredded. My husband loved the oxtail special. Margaritas are also pretty good - good taste and not watered down.

Affordable, delicious food and great service! The chimichurri steak was delicious and had a great charred taste. The ham and cheese fried appetizer thing I forgot the name of was awesome. The empanadas were huge, too. Our water glasses stayed full and the cafe con leche we ended our meal with was some of the best I’ve had and it was under $5 for a huge cup. Almost all of the appetizers were under $10, and although most are small portions I think it’s perfect because they’re so filling. The inside reminds me of a college bar mixed with a hip restaurant, which is a weird vibe, but it grew on me! Overall, can’t wait to go back and try the brunch — great prices for great food.
Delicious food and very generous portions. The restaurant had a very authentic feel to it and our server was amazing. Unfamiliar with Cuban cuisine, he explained a lot of the dishes and how to eat some things.
Became a ritual hang out because of their fish tacos and plantains during happy hour. The staff is super nice and it’s usually frequented with the locals crowd. Location is a little ways down from the main grove street crowd so feels like a secret only a few are “in” on. Do not get the flan - it looks good but no.
The outside sitting area is reasonably sized and the tables are not on top of each other which is great! The Piña Coladas and the Margaritas are Amazing we only went out for drinks this day Javan was our server and he was so delightful, courteous and very attentive! Can't wait to go back
I love that this is one of the very few places in JC that has hookah. I have never had food here so I can't speak to that. The hookah was decent the drinks were not good however.
Love this place! The mango mojito was exquisite and the food, YUM! Highly recommend. It is right by Newark Ave so a bit busy and loud with the car traffic but I didn’t mind, I had a great time. Service was good too.
The Food was so good it was gone in 60 sec. I had a great server named James who has a great attitude. He was entertaining and made the experience more enjoyable. They also had a cool back spot that was real chill. I highly recommend this place to anyone who want a nice chill spot to hang with friends.
The Calle Ocho salad and Zacapa mojito made up for the wait. Plan your visit because this place observes social distancing and capacity limits. Their outside seating area is nice size.
