I ordered a fireclay sink from Hardware Supply Source because this merchant has a 99.5% positive rating on E-bay. My experience was far from positive. I did an entire kitchen renovation and ordered a fireclay sink from HSS in late March after my custom cabinet manufacturer requested exact dimensions of the top perimeter of the sink I planned to install. I received the fireclay sink from HSS, opened the box and measured the top without removing it from the box, since the sink is very heavy. In June, when our cabinets finally arrived, my installer took the sink out of the box only to discover that it's malformed, with a large bulge at the bottom on one side, and didn't fit into the cabinet opening designed for the sink. When I reported the problem to Hardware Supply, their reply was that they were "infuriated" that I accused them of selling junk which I did not and that they're top-rated. They took no action, except to question my failure to act sooner in reporting the issue. Meanwhile my installer had to carve a section out of my new kitchen cabinet to make the sink fit. I've shopped primarily online for more than a dozen years and almost never incur a problem with merchandise ordered. In the rare event that something is wrong, merchants typically take all necessary measures to resolve the issue. Not Hardware Supply Source. I don't recommend them. I've kept copies of email exchanges with customer service at this company, in case any potential customer would like to see how the merchant responds when problems arise.
