I was in the office today to get three teeth pulled. Knowing I am hard to numb, I was very, very, very nervous because of previous difficulties with another dentist. On my first visit, I explained this to him, he assured me he could pull them without putting me to sleep. Welllll, I was very skeptical, but, they had to be pulled. When he came into the room today, he jokingly told me he thought I wasn’t coming back. He explained what he was going to do, as far as numbing them, what order he was going to do things. And, just as I thought, the top two were difficult, but, he kept me pain free, reassured me, and got them pulled. I was to thank him and his assistant, they were excellent, and I would definitely recommend him to everyone I know.
I am very hard to numb but Dr Harlan just took his time and made sure I was numb. Never even felt him remove my molar. Highly highly recommend. His assistant Britney was outstanding. She is very caring.
James Harlan removed my wisdom teeth and also removed a molar that was giving me a lot of pain in another procedure. I called to make An appointment to have my molar removed and he got me less than a week later despite how very busy his office is and in the mean time had called in antibiotics for me which did end up helping my pain. James is very educated and takes his profession very seriously. I wish he did general dentistry as well. He always listen to me and I would recommend him to anyone but especially someone who has a fear of dentists like myself. He is great at putting people at ease. He’s a great man and oral surgeon. He has a patient for life in me.
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out two impacted and difficult to remove so I was worried about how long I would be out of work on Friday October the 2nd and I am on day two and I have minimal swelling & pain! This office was amazing from the moment I walked in! I have never had any of my teeth extracted so I was pretty nervous but I knew I picked the right place to come because I wasn’t even nervous the morning of my procedure! I recommend Dr. James Harlan & his team 100 times over!
I assure you I have experiences tied with all reviews. It's obvious you're emotionally hurt from negative feedback by stating I only post low rating reviews but professionally speaking you should be more attentive to your patients than Google reviews which would prevent you from directly causing further infections in your paying customers. If I could I'd give 0 stars to Harlan's office now
October 2019 my son had 4 wisdom teeth pulled and 2 baby teeth that grew in his pallet. 6 teeth total! I was nervous for him but he came out a trooper! Dr. Harlan and his staff were very professional and kind from the time we checked in to the time Dr. Harlan walked us to our car. He even walked out to the lobby to let me know the procedure went fine and that my son was waking up and I could see him in a few minutes. That meant a lot to me! Dr. Harlan came out himself and not his staff. My son had little pain the days after and recovered very nicely! Thanks a million for your amazing work Dr. Harlan. I highly recommend Dr. Harlan if you need any dental surgery!
I needed a molar tooth removed without anesthesia or gas. IHS referred me to Harlan. The tooth removal was so painLESS that I did not realize it was gone until he told me! In past tooth work, the injection of a numbing agent into my gums always slightly stung like bee stings and was nerve-racking. Harlan numbed my gums in stages, allowing the numbing agent to take effect before injecting more numbing solution. Therefore, no bee stings! If I had a choice of a dentist or oral surgeon to send a loved one to, it would be Jay Harlan.
Had both bottom wisdom teeth removed last Wednesday and it was a great experience done very quick and staff was very nice and professional
It's been a long time but I had an abcess wisdom tooth that had broken off. I was absolutely terrified to have it pulled. I even asked Dr. Harlan if we could just leave me on antibiotics and leave it in there cause I was scared lol. Two shots later and a little pressure and that tooth came right out. He did a fantastic job and even called later to check on me. Thank you so very much! Sorry it took so long to write this review.
