Stopped in the Fly Shop of the Bighorns before heading up into the Bighorns for a week of camping and fishing. I am a very new fly fisherman, Chaz was very helpful in suggesting flies and areas to try. Thanks to his advice, I was able to catch my first wild trout on a fly rod. Great staff, large fly selections, and assorted accessories. The fly tying area looked well stocked. I ended up stopping by again the next day with my family and the staff even suggested places to eat nearby. I will be a return customer when I get back to Sheridan. Staff appreciates veterans and first responders. Great Fly Shop!!
Awesome shop with huge selection of clothes and tackle. Chaz was very helpful and informative with fly selections and shared his local fishing knowledge. Definitely will be back next visit to the Bighorns!
My husband and I are from Kitty Hawk, NC and happened upon the fly shop on our way through town. Coby was EXTREMELY helpful with where to go and how to get there . . . what flies to use . . . as well as some local rules we were not aware of. The shop was very well stocked and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.
The staff here are top notch, they are really good at helping you out without making you feel less than for not knowing as much as them unlike most fly shops I’ve been to Also, they will help you out extensively when wanting to know about conditions and good spots to drop a line. I feel so lucky to have such a great fly shop close to home!
This fly shop was spot on, freindlt, super helpful in educating me anout the local knowladge and fisheries. Well stocked spot, picked up the new Simms Flyweight Boots , amoung other essentials and a few tantalizing indulgences. Thanks gentlemen, looking forward to next year back in the Bighorn Mountains!
Very knowledgeable of fishing the area. Very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend stopping in before you head to the Wyoming waters!
The main reason for my 2 starts is due to their customer service. A couple new to fly fishing came in and needed help. The guy employee just showed him a big variety of flies without any explanation, gave no help with equipment needed or any general advice. New comers would appreciate the help and education to the sport. It was a nice business, good location, tricky parking if you have a bigger vehicle and trailer.
Worst customer service ever. Full of arrogant little a-holes. My son and I went in he is 14 and they didn't pay a lick of attention to him didn't offer to help or anything. And no there were no other customers. Didn't even acknowledge we were in the store. You guys are the worst examples of fly fisherman I have literally ever seen. Get real you ain't nothing and you are not better than anyone. So stop acting like you are. Never ever will we ever go back. And we had a decent amount of money to spend.
If you're an out-of-towner looking for advice on the local trout waters, this is the place to go! Very helpful. Update: my son and I went fishing at a remote lake in the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area, and *never* would have successfully made our way to the place without the advice we got from the guy at this shop--it's not on a marked trail, and wasn't easy to reach. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best trout fishing of my life. I didn't get your name, brother, but thanks!
I was in town for two days and wanted to fish the tongue river. I am a novice fly fisherman and was not sure what to use to be successful. I spoke with Coby, who was very friendly and helpful. He hooked me up with some flies and provided suggestions on where to fish. I went out today to the tongue river campground for an hour and a half and caught two whitefish, two rainbows, and a brown using the flies suggested by Coby! Great and experienced staff! If you are in the area stop in and give them a chance to help make your fishing adventure successful!
