Not only did they give me the wrong date for my hearing to get an order of protection renewed, but then when I called the lady was less than helpful and even got snappy at me- to end it all, they couldn't even spell my name right on the legal documents nor the email they sent me. they don't care about helping.
I am glad and greatful that the great judges prosecutors and states attorneys are fair and doing a great job in prosecuting people for what they are doing wrong, and calling people out on they b.s when they are lying but i think when a woman or man lies on someone to have them arrested or cost them a lose in time money and freedom criminal charges should be enforced on the person who lies to cost someone to lose everything. 30 days in jail would be nice to a person who goes into the states attorneys office and lie and say someone threatened them and it cost them they second amendment right and they job..
Terrible place, the order of protection office should be staffed by people who want to help the public and offer kindness to those going in there to seek safety. The front desk agent in the 1400 room was extremely rude to me when I was asking simple questions, I didn’t even have an attitude over the LONG wait time 4 hours at the point in which I spoke to her my question was simply about having to leave early myself to pick up my daughter. This lady came at me with horrible attitude and was of no help. I had to stop her MULTIPLE times to make sure she listened to me and my questions because everyone’s situations are unique. And even then, she didn’t give me the proper information and also threw her petty clipboard at me as if to scare me off or shut me up. She needs an attitude check and probably her government credentials taken away. I walked out of the 1400 room and talked to the front desk in front of security who happened to be MUCH MORE helpful on letting me know what I can do if I need to leave early and have not been seen. The second woman I spoke with let me know what I can do and when to come back including best times to come back so I’m not waiting so long but still get seen, we need more like her working towards the safety of victims of abuse and not older bitter women who get annoyed so easily at helping the public. DONT WORK FOR A PUBLIC OFFICE IF YOURE NOT GOING TO HELP THE PUBLIC. Miss ma’am with the attitude, please stop projecting your miserableness onto good people, you should not verbally abuse those asking for help when they are already there to seek protection. 0/10 stars if I could.
Was not allowed in court room, even though it stated to show up in person. Had to try to ZOOM from the library, wifi is terrible there. Tried to call in, no luck. Finally someone came & called out my name. Tax $$$ hard @ work.
Theses people are unhelpful and useless i think I'm ready to give up and just kill myself already over this mess . It seem like they don't care and care more about the abuser and protecting them . I have been calling and emailing them for 2 months and no answer. The only thing is happening is court court court and court . This is soo stressful and give me so much anxiety i swear I want to die just not to deal with this
Very mediocre. The attitude of the officer near the walk-in metal detector is trash as well. Maybe these police officers lives are so miserable that they have to project. Hope she gets well soon. Lol.
If your going to get a protection order your probably already high on stress and anxiety. Fyi nobody here cares about that. The judge on this day was uncaring and harsh. The hand outs to follow are a bit confusing and everyone is just yelling at each other to find papers that they sent back or about whos info is right. The person helping with filling out forms wasnt trying to. Had me write unknown for the respondents address which somehow got me to the judge only for her to shame me on why I didnt know my abusers address. Honey Im emotionally wrecked, thanks for that comfort. Maybe worry about helping some the victims a bit more since nobody wants to be there dealing with this stuff filling out papers in a hurry so you can go home when others are dealing with past and present emotional abuse/stress and just want someone to HELP THEM or maybe seem like you give a care. If your having a tough time go with someone! Its better to be in this place with some support cuz you wont really find that here.

These folks Never answer the phone. I called numerous times, went through the voice prompts and when I hit the number 3 to speak to a person the phone rang a few times then it disconnected the call/hung up. Finally I emailed my question and hope to get a respone.
