Super polite staff! Wonderful place for family/ friends or a special night for just the two of ya! From so many hiking trails we probably missed some. But never ending this too pass the time! Definitely have referred some Friends and have another stay planned.
This was probably the best place we've visited in Owen Sound; this park is free to enter and free parking with camping available at a fee. This park has everything for everyone, from playgrounds and a basketball court for kids to trails and a restaurant for the whole family. The only thing this place doesn't have is a gift shop for shopping. There are a lot of trails in this park, some of which connect to Inglis Falls around 1 hour hike for myself and wife. The trails can be muddy from recent rain and have many uneven grounds from tree roots and rocks. We missed the entry point to Inglis Falls, but there was one available, but you would need to pay a fee to enter or free if you go from the trails. There is a decent restaurant on site with average prices and food and a concession stand on the side of the building. The park also had a fenced area with swans and other small bodies of water. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here whether you are from Owen Sound or just visiting. We spent a few hours here hiking and ate at the restaurant afterward. Also, the ice cream you get from the concession stand comes in a generous amount recommend. Playground: There is a basketball court, a couple of playgrounds, and large wind chimes for kids to play with. Restrooms: There are washrooms available to the public; accessible on the outside and inside of the restaurant. Dog-friendliness: This is a very large park with many trails. Picnic area: This is a large park with seating areas from the restaurant and picnic tables.
Beautiful park, it’s actually pretty. Upon entering the place you go through a well designed driveway. Lots of families here so it’s a wonderful place for couples, families, and friends. There’s also many activities to do here, even restaurants and camping is available at this place. Nature lovers will surely love it here the same way I did!
Nice place to take photos. There are some play structures for kids where other play areas does not have. Pedal boats are available for $10/30 mins. And also the bird sanctuary.
A Lovely Jewel In Owen Sound My family and I visited this park back in August 2022 during our long trip from Ottawa to Tobermory. Sorry that we could not spend much time but there was enough time to appreciate every aspect of the park picnic tables, mini-zoo, beautiful trails, etc. Staff were very friendly especially the young lady at the rental place. Will definitely consider coming back. Well recommended.
This place is great for family picnics. Get togethers for your kid to spend an afternoon and get tired out. Lots of different options for playgrounds and a long trail to walk along a beautiful river. Highly recommend it for a great afternoon!! Also there is burgers and hot dogs ice cream right in the middle of the park, beside parking area.
My dog loves the brook... we get awesome food from the restaurant then eat dinner right next to the babbling brook... then play...our fav place to go!
Very nice park. Go almost annually. Always gave a good time. Sometimes the restaurant hours could be better. Showers are free, which is nice. Trails are nice. Some paved for bicycling. There's a big empty mowed field which is nice to take a dog to not fenced or for anything else you might want an open area for.
Cute park with playground and boat rental. Also connected to various hiking trails. It is e.g. possible to hike to the Inglis Falls from here. It is easily reachable by car and there is plenty of parking space here. Playground: Big playground with various climbing racks and other playable setups. Suitable for a big range of ages. The music instruments are a big highlight for our kids. Restrooms: As common in Canada, there are public toilets in the near of the playground. We didn't use it but it seemed not very good maintained judged by the slightly unpleasant smell.
My kids love playing on the playgrounds here, there's so much variety in equipment and activities. They also love the scenery and seeing the birds at the river. The grounds are very well maintained. I camped here for the first time this weekend and it was fantastic. We really loved the pool and the burbling of the stream all through the camp ground. The sites are a little small for my liking but the quality of shade from the trees, the great scenery and excellent bathroom amenities made up for it.
