Very busy but well managed airport. Give yourself some time when booking connections through Atlanta - large airport and takes a bit to get to other terminals. Haven’t had any issues flying through or out of Atlanta. If you have extra time - walk between terminals in the tunnels - they have different art/history exhibits that are pretty fun.
I usually prefer to avoid going through Atlanta if I can, but sometimes I might NOT have a choice. As the “World’s Most Busiest Airport” it was fairly easy to navigate. While I did have to catch The Plane Train to reach my connecting gate, it actually wasn’t too difficult. There’s a lot of great shopping and dining options within each concourse and the Delta personnel were helpful as well. It’s obviously also the largest hub for Delta.
Well, it’s the worlds busiest airport for a reason. Huge airport which spreads wide and long. The southern terminals are dedicated for Delta as they are the based out of ATL and all other flights are served at the north terminal. Weekends are extremely busy with a huge line starting from the drop-off location, so if you’re travelling on the weekend, leave some extra time for safety reasons. Washrooms are averagely clean and the airport has everything necessary. Good experience travelling through here so far!
Very big and busy airport, and it's definitely one of the biggest airports I've ever visited. Lots of businesses within the airport, plenty of shops, and duty-free to buy souvenirs from and lots of restaurants and fast food to buy food from. Their washrooms were fairly clean, too, despite being such a busy airport.
Very busy airport! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to find parking, check your bags, and get through security. There are a lot of places to get something to eat and shop if you have a long layover. I’ve traveled through this airport multiple times and the employees are always unbelievably rude. I try to only fly Delta if I’m at this airport; the Delta employees there are the absolute best! They are always so friendly and helpful, especially if your flight has been cancelled.
It's one of the busiest airport l have been in so far. , Give yourself plenty of time to make your connecting flight. Lots of food options, shops and vending machines. If you have a long layover, check out the many sculptures and Atlanta history. There is alot to see. Overall it was a great experience.
Atlanta airport is an absolutely massive massive airport, WARNING ; give yourself plenty of time because it’s so hugh to get to the relevant gate for departure, there is an efficient tram to transport you between terminals, the security process is efficient and well organised, the waits times are tolerable. Once in the correct terminal there is an abundance of shops, eateries and stores, hence my warning to allow yourself to immerse in the airport shopper experience plus there is a vast choice in eateries and drinkeriers. There is adequate comfortable seating. This airport sets the standards for airports and treats the travelling person how they should be treated, kudos
An absolute gem of an airport. The internal transit system is timely, clean, and dependable. The signage is clear and thorough. The airport and TSA staff are never quite as kind and helpful as you’d hope, but I have a hard time holding that against the facility itself. Actually, the people here were on par with other large international airports I’ve visited. The food courts are vast and more diverse than most other airports with a handful of unique options beyond the typical fast food. I was super impressed in this regard. Steer clear of the Gordon whatever the heck brewing place, though. Complete dumpster fire. The art exhibits in the airport were one of my favorite parts. So cool.
I arrived at Atlanta’s airport to discover the trains both tracks were not working, and the next best alternative between the airport and the rental car center was to take a taxi. With hundreds of people trying to do the same, both going from the airport to the rental car center, and from the rental car center to the airport; the experience was the worst I’ve encountered in 40 years of air travel. Both my taxi driver and the rental car agent commented this is a once or twice a week occurrence lasting for several hours each occurrence. You would think between the Governor’s office, the Mayor’s office, and the Airport Authority the powers that be would be all over this to ensure uninterrupted, quality train service???
It’s a good airport. I dunno if there is any busier time but it was really easy to check in and get through the security etc.
