Founded in 1909 under a private trust from Delos F. Diggins, Harvard Diggins Library is now over a century old. The library serves residents of the city of Harvard, and is a member of the Northern Illinois Cooperative of libraries and the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS). Harvard Diggins Library is located in the city's recreational campus that includes a playground, sledding hill, swimming pool, disc golf course, and Lion's Park. The library is open year round and offers a collection of over 40,000 print and audio books, videos, newspapers, and magazines. High speed Internet access is available through Wi-Fi and on public workstations.
