I love coming to this store because it has so many hat styles and options. I've bought over 4 hats from here and each time was a pleasant experience. Except this last time in July of 23. For some reason I was followed through the whole store. Maybe I'm not used to employees hovering over me while I shop at their stores, but I made the best of it and tried asking lots of questions about the hats. Needless to say I bought the hat I wanted and went about my business. Love the hats so I keep coming back. Maybe tell your guys to just back up a little?

My husband bought a nice, expensive Stetson, George Strait hat about a year ago. Being locals , it was nice to hear they would block or reshape any hat you bought there. He just took it in for reshaping this morning and was treated incredibly rudely by the older guy working the counter who could not be bothered with it. Never looked up, had No interest in what the hat needed, so needless to say he did not stick around for more rude treatment. Here's the thing store owner- this little 'burg' might be overun with tourists, but locals still shop here! But not to worry, we will go to Boerne or another hill country town who might have a better attitude. Shame on you Mr. Rude. Texans don't treat other Texans that way. Won't be back and certainly will not send any tourists or visitors to your business.

Gave them a complement on their "collection" of hats. My wording was not accepted by the older man working there. He bluntly corrected me with no thankfulness for the complement. Anyways, no reason to return or recommend to anyone with that type of customer service.

Great variety of hats to select from . If you’re looking for small sizes, it’s a hit or miss, the shop is more than willing to order what ever you need . Quality of hats are awesome. I will buy from them again !

I was in town for a tour of our wedding venue when I happened upon this hat shop. I couldn't wait to go because I had considered wearing a hat on the big day. This store had so many options for styles and even a bit of variety with pricing. I thought I was gonna spend over 200 for a hat, but found one for a little over $100. I had about 2 people ask if I needed help at first. When I finally needed assistance a gentleman started to get down hats for me but then quickly passed me off to someone else which was the only negative experience I had. Fortunately the lady who helped me was very knowledgeable and had me checked out in minimal time.

Had a really disappointing experience here. Went in with my husband to hopefully add a pair of boots to his collection. We barely made it through the door before one of the employees started following us and standing over us everywhere we went throughout the entire store, obviously watching us. I've never experienced anything so blatant in my life. We decided to take our business elsewhere and won't be returning to support this company that employees people with such a blatant racial bent!

The people in the store are very nice and helpful. Their prices on the other hand are completely out of control. We found my wife a hat she liked, they didn't have a price on the stand but I assumed it was around 200-250. We went up to pay and they were going to charge me $495 for a Resistol 6x hat. We found another hat she liked and paid a fair price for it. Naturally it was higher here than a store back home but it was expected due to being in a tourist town. Do a little research before you buy from here.

IMO, Unwelcoming /uncomfortable. After being told all the boots were Lucchese by a dark haired, bearded young man working - I was surprised to find a ladies boot with a PLASTIC heel, plastic zipper and pleather w bad stitching. Strange. Another customer remarked that some of the boots were overpriced and a sales lady said out loud "well this isn't Mexico". To which another customer said "some of us are from Mexico" and I added "si"These are the facts - u form ur own opinion.

We went in to buy two new Stetson straw hats. I was wearing a Stetson and was ready to purchase the other two when I asked if they would steam my existing Stetson. I was told since I didn’t buy it there they wouldn’t touch it. I sincerely hope that the owner Robert Waight reads this review. I am a local in the Fredericksburg area and have sent many visitors to your store. Never again your employees know nothing about customer service. You may reach out to me if you choose.

Saw some boots I absolutely loved and waited around for someone to help. 3 individuals passed me and no one bothered to ask if I needed a size or help. Finally got their attention, asked for my size, they didn’t even look at the boot but yet told me “we only have smaller sizes in that boot.”
