If I could I would give them negative stars!!! Do NOT use this company, they are not reliable at all. We have been loyal customers for almost seven years! However, the last 6 months have been horrific! Trash may or may not be picked up for the week, I believe our longest stretch was 3 or 4 weeks without service then 1 week with service then again another 3 or 4 weeks without service. Prime example, we are going into the first week of February and they only picked up our trash once this year and we have weekly service, which means 1 week out of 5 have they picked up! They said they would credit us for the 7 weeks of missed service in Nov, Dec and January but surprise surprise we received our auto paid bill with a $13 credit, in no way is that 7 weeks worth of credits! Those 7 weeks of credit are only through January 6th, so we have 3 more weeks of credits or a total of 10 weeks that they have not picked up since November! Their excuses have ranged from broken down trucks, not enough drivers and now the latest excuse is that they are trying to catch up, so that is why they haven't picked up our trash in the last 2 weeks. I feel horrible for the women answering the phones, I DARE the VP, CEO or Owner to take over all the phone calls with angry customers. We are done after 7 years we are going to a competitor, along with many of our neighbors. We don't see this company surviving after this. If they had only begged, borrowed, hired temporary drivers to run a 24x7 operation to catch up and had some descent customer service we may have considered staying. However, they couldn't even give a good explanation or what they were going to do to rectify this issue when asked by one of the local news stations! Sorry Haulaway you suck now, In the last 3 months we estimate our trash has only been picked up once in January, twice in December and maybe three times in November being a 5 week month! So sad that we have to switch, we hate change but you have done this to yourselves and we had no choice, we are literally out of garbage cans 5 at the curb now and a pile in the garage, the only saving grace is that it is winter and the garage is cool, ugh don't want to have that issue rolling into Spring and Summer. So Long!
This company is terrible at their residential removal services. We are a residential customer, and they consistently miss pickup on the scheduled days. They regularly come a day late, even when it is not a holiday. Most recently they have missed our recycling multiple times. It has been a month since it has been picked up. Our scheduled day for pickup is Tuesday, and for the fourth week in a row, nobody showed up to pick up our recycling. We left our recycling bin out all week, and still nothing. I proceeded to call on Friday and they said they were backed up, and that they would be in my area for pick up either Friday or Saturday. It is now Saturday evening... and still nothing. The customer service from their office was horrible, and the pickup service is even worse. If you are an individual, or an HOA manager, please don’t waste your money on Haulaway.
We have had Haulaway for 8 years, we always had excellent service, then this past year, they would not pick up the trash, but always the next day or two they would come. But then on a consistent basis they would not show. And now they have not picked our trash up now for 5 weeks. They told us they would pick up Saturday , but they never showed up. We will be switching to a new company.
It's been the better part of a month and this incompetent company still has not collected the trash from my development. It hasn't just been this month however, there have been numeroustoo many to count times that usually span weeks where they are inconsistent in doing their jobs. Don't bother calling, you'll be hung up on. Don't bother leaving a message, they won't return with a phone call. I won't get too upset about this TRASH company anymore as I know it won't be long before I can gleefully dance on the grave of this soon-to-be permanently shut-down horrible business.
I live in Red Hawk and we have had Haulaway for the past 11 years. Up until late 2019 they were great! The drivers are very helpful and friendly. But since December 2019 we cannot depend on them to come every week. Most of the time they come every two weeks. Then they don't take our recycling and we have to go 4 weeks for that. I know they are having difficulty with trucks, maintenance and drivers but this is ridiculous. Our HOA will soon be switching. During this last snow storm 2/7/20 they did not show up. Our pickup day is Thursday, no snow then, but they pushed until Friday when it snowed. Waste Management was able to make their rounds in The Meadows on Friday during the storm. If you are thinking of using Haulaway as your trash removal service, THINK AGAIN. Just say "NO".
Too often the trash pick up is scheduled on Friday, Saturday if there is a holiday, but this company does not believe in keeping their scheduled times or days even when the oral contract with the company means little to nothing. Treating a disabled veteran like this will never win points on their supposed top rated garbage collections. Once I can find a new collector I'll be cancelling this contract and signing up with someone who is at least showing responsibility to the customers.
Like other reviewers before me, this company sucks! When we first started with them a few years ago we had no problems. Within the last 6 months their service has been awful or non-existent. In the last month, 3 times our trash and/or recycling has not been picked up at all. We lug it all back up the driveway and hope it gets picked up the next day. We can't call the office because they are closed. Two weeks ago it took 72 hours before our trash was picked up. We're done, looking for a new company now.
Reluctantly 2 stars. Haulaway has been increasingly unreliable. We live in a semi-rural area with a lot of wildlife. Sometimes our trash sits out for 24-48 hours past our pick-up date and yes, I plan accordingly on holiday weeks, and wildlife tears into the the trash, and spreads it around. The week before Christmas the trash was picked-up on time, and my wife and I joked "It's Christmas miracle!!" Just received my renewal statement, still showing a 10+% "Fuel Surcharge" when gas prices are the lowest they've been in years. After approximately 15 years of service, at 2 different homes, it's going to be very difficult for me to renew. Might start looking for a new trash provider, we'll see. Update: Decided to cancel w/ Haulaway, and going with a different trash service provider. Hopefully will have more reliable service
This is in regards to Haulaway solid waste pickup. I know nothing of their storage abilities, but I cannot locate a separate listing for waste pickup. If I could give zero stars, I would. Our trash pickup has been delayed/missed pretty much every single week since Christmas. It’s unacceptable. Why our HOA chooses to continue paying this awful service is beyond me. They cite weather and mechanical issues nearly every week. I’ve stopped trying to recycle because I cannot keep track of when they’re actually coming separate truck for recycling, only every two weeks and once I witnessed them putting my recycling that I painstakingly separate out from my trash into the truck with all the regular trash. It’s a never ending frustration with this company.
I wish I could leave 0 stars! Absolutely terrible! In the 3 months I had them for residential weekly trash service, I received a total of 3 pickups! I called every single week and was told that somebody would come back after they missed me, but nobody ever did. I had to order a roll-off from another company because of the accumulating garbage at my house! Their customer service said they issued me a refund but they never did. Then after I canceled their service, they sent me a bill for the next 3 months they didn't actually cancel it! Terrible experience overall, DO NOT use this company!!!
