I was an inpatient at HRMC this week for surgery and I cannot express enough how wonderful every single caregiver was … all of the nurses that took excellent care of me… all the respiratory techs and physical therapists. The entire surgical team were amazing and full of care and compassion. I had so much excellent care from so many people I can’t even begin to name names for fear of leaving someone out. From check in to check out. The care I received was absolutely A-1 and outstanding!!! And a HUGE thank you to Dr. Michael Wright my orthopedic surgeon. I will be forever grateful to everyone.
I went in for medical records, an EKG & chest x-Ray all in the same day. Anna & Diana in admitting/registration were pleasant & professional. Michelle did my x-ray and was very kind. Alice did my EKG & was also kind & made me feel comfortable. Lastly, Stephen in records, went above & beyond to re send my records to my doctor and also provided a copy for myself.
My 97 yr old grandfather was there with Covid after 4 days they sent him to Haven Health and did no follow up at all. He has Dementia and didn’t like their food so he didn’t eat much for two weeks they made no effort to inform us and just watched him deteriorate however they did manage to inform his insurance and because he was getting worse not better they canceled his short term insurance and put it on long-term which he doesn’t have and had to pay out of pocket $6000.00 So it looks like he’s coming home on hospice Just another Havasu regional walk in and be rolled out and just FYI my opinion don’t put anyone in Haven Health looks real nice but looks are deceiving, it’s not a well managed facility.
My son hit his head and had a pretty serious bump. We checked in. We went in the back and his vitals were taken. Then we went to sit back in the waiting room. The waiting room was packed and we asked a few people how long they had been waiting. A couple people had been waiting over four hours to be seen. Luckily we have doctors in the family so we called them and did a virtual type visit and everything was fine. The wait time is a huge concern. We have been to emergency rooms in St Louis, Colorado Springs, and Denver and we have never waited that long. For such a small area to have such long wait times does not make me comfortable with the capabilities of this hospital or their staff. Someone in management is doing something wrong. Hopefully this problem gets resolved or people with more serious injuries are going to suffer. Update: I had to use the facility on 8/19/22 for some arm numbness and chest pain. I’ve been waiting in the waiting room for a room to be “cleaned” for over two hours now. There were only two people in the waiting room when I got here. They both got a room about an hour and a half ago. Like I said earlier, wait times in Chicago, Colorado Springs, Denver, and St Louis are NOTHING like this. Those places have amazing hospitals. This place is ran so poorly.
Have been in the ER, have had tests and procedures there and last week had a lumpectomy and node dissection. Dr Rizzo was the surgeon. He is wonderful. Hospital was also wonderful - from the nurses on the 2nd floor…the radiologist technician to the anesthetist and the OR nurses to the recovery room nurses. Couldn’t have asked for more caring, helpful and respectful nurses.
Please if possible and if you need to go to the hospital, go to kingman. My mom was admitted with pneumonia but after an mri they put her on steroids for swelling around a brain tumor she has. Well we just saw the neurosurgeon and there was no swelling at all. I had thought that might be an issue also but there was no swelling and i was told there was. Then after being there a day they changed her antibiotics to iv and we thought it was for pneumonia but to find out after we checked out she was being treated for sepsis which they never told us. She had horrible symptoms and i asked alot of questions hoping for answers. The symptoms of sepsis did not start until hours after we were there so she most likely got it in the hospital and no one bothered to tells us and I spoke with dr every day, who also said she had swelling around the tumor. Also the dr stated he spoke w the dr who is treating her tumor and that never happened. Not sure why all this happened and dr did not have the best bedside manner and does not like to hear information from family who has been with the patient every day and through all medical issues. This is really sad, we have one hospital and we cannot use it. My mom's life is very important to me and I do not trust them to take care of any of my love ones or friends. Not too mention there are so many doctors responsible in the running of this hospital you would think they would change the way things are done for our community. They definitely bring in the money because I have been charged for walking in and out of the emergency room wo seeing anyone. Something needs to change asap and I sure hope it does.
Took my husband to the ER with a neck abscess. We have out of country health insurance. The waiting room was not that busy and shortly after filling out the forms we were seen by the triage nurse, moved to the treatment room and seen by the PA. He made a diagnosis and treatment plan which was quickly fulfilled by the nurse. The IV was inserted without an issue. Prescriptions and follow up given and we were on our way after about 2 hours. We found the staff professional and friendly. After all the negative reviews I was worried about going to the hospital but our experience was very positive and thankful for their care and concern
Waited with my toddler for 6 hours for a simple strep test. Got there at 4pm and did not get called back until 9pm. When another hour rolled around and no doctor had came into our room we started to leave. A kind nurse named Joanna came running to help us. She tried to look up our test results and informed us they had not been sent to the lab until 9pm and were waiting for them. A strep test takes 8 mins and usually I would go to the urgent care but because it was closed we had no choice. When we found out the test was positive we could do nothing because all the pharmacies were closed. It's was an awful experience and next time I will drive to Bullhead or Kingman. I have given them to many chances and I'm always waiting 6 hours plus.
Told my wife she had a pinched nerve and then sent us home, we had to ask several times to get crutches cause they told us they don’t want her getting used to them. Her hip was broken. So maybe she did need the crutches. Also our nurse we definitely on something.
This hospital doesn't have network channels available for their patients! Ridiculous! I gave this one star rating only because the nurse who tried to help my friend who is in the hospital was very nice and helpful. A patient stuck in hospital for 3-5 days or longer and no network TV channels, shame on this hospital administration.
