My rating is negative 5, I have family living in these apartments for over a year. The property manager when they first moved in kept making promises about the things that needed to be fixed: That's just inside their apartment. 1. Refrigerator not working properly 2. Kitchen sink leaks around faucet & sink 3. Black mold in bath & kitchen 4. Toilet doesn't flush properly 5. Rains in around AC and sliding door 6. Closet doors don't close properly and/or missing handles 7. Garbage disposal doesn't work Here's the list for outside. 1. Security doors don't close automatically, so there usually open 2. Hallway carpet smells like urine and filthy 3. Potholes that are everywhere and the size of craters 4. All buildings are No Smoking Buildings that management doesn't enforce 5. Kids running around unsupervised under the age of 12 6. Garbage thrown everywhere 7. Drug deals 8. Gun shots 9. Laundry room 85% of the machines don't work because of the kids messing with them 10. Pool hours 11am - 4pm not convenient if you work That property manager cleared out the bank accounts and trashed the records. The property owner now doesn't have past rent receipts or even know what some tenants may owe. The office woman now is very rude and not a people person. It's come to the point that the tenants now have to call the Village Housing Authority just to get the basic necessary repairs done on their units. So unless things take a major upswing or you want to live with drug dealers, uncontrollable unsupervised children without any manners. I'd look someplace else.
Absolutely nightmare. Cops are there so much, mold on the walls, manager doesn’t know what he is doing and can’t even answer the phone properly by identifying where you are calling. So many bugs and nothing gets fixed when requested. They want too much money for how horrible this place is. The washer and dryers are also rarely working properly. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews and went elsewhere.
!!!If I could give this place negative stars I would. There has been numerous issues wrong with my unit including MOLDwe had a guy come and test it He refused to fix ANYTHING and instead gave us a 5 day notice. We weren’t able to pay because covid and agreed on payments but he went back on that agreement. we also had put a work order in back in NOVEMBER before covid. He had nothing but excuses including covid and being understaffed as to why he couldn’t fix things. The previous maintenance guy came into our apartment without our consent and stole panties. We made a police report and when brought up to the property manager he didn’t believe me I gave him the report # we got a camera because of this. Talk about violation. This place is all around a mess they will make promises but never keep them and then blame you for everything. I could go on but it would be too lengthy.
I would not recommend moving here. There is a lack of communication between parties. I was ordered to pay $170 after I parked my car in the snowy parking lot after the snow storm. I parked my car in front of my apartment window next to my neighbors car like I usually do only to receive a knock the next day that the tow guy moved snow and determined I was double parked so he booted me. The parking lot was not plowed when I parked there. After requesting information from management she referred me to the parking service's email to request a refund. I have emailed twice with absolutely no response. It's a shame because when I moved in there was a lot of excitement about new owners making things better for this apartment complex, but from what I can see they're not involved at all.
Very nasty place and management never fix anything. I am disabled and today the tow truck driver made me go get 170 buck in below zero weather and made me walk. But I just moved here and never got the mail yet to buy a sticker. And if you have something delivered watch out for house keeping your package will walk out with them or other people in the building. They claim to be getting cameras in all building but for now only the parking lot has them. Also I'm in a new apartment but it's not new at all its half painted and a lot of small things wrong.
They dont go by the noise ordinance. They will work all night. M-F is 6 am to 8 pm. Its 10:30 at night on a Friday and they are working in the apartment next to me. While my child is trying to sleep! Dont move here. Sucky landlord doesn't fix anything. Took a week today fix my bathroom and then he never came back to finish the rest. Supposed to be non smoking and people don't listen to the rules. No parking half the time. To many drug people over here. Shooting and stabbings have happened over here. Apartments leak . I had black mold in the bathroom and the didn't do anything with it. Don't move here unless you want to smell cat pee all the time and weed all the time. Kids play in the street and don't care if they play in the road. The washing center is broken half the time and the kids mess with your laundry. Pool isnt open for the kids to swim. The security doors don't work half the time. Only one water heater for one building, lights outside don't work half the time. To damn loud not safe.
Please give this place a 2nd chance. They are under new owners/management, and they are currently renovating all of the units. They are trying hard to run all of the trash out of this place and are cleaning it up and renovating. It's taking time, but it's 100% better than it was. My friend just moved in here and in a nice 3rd floor unit with balcony and everything in the unit is brand new, this place will be so much better once they get all of the losers out that keep tearing things up and selling drugs. They are definately moving in the right direction, and the rent is very reasonable and has a great location.
