Great place to take the kids to play. Big park with lot of trees. Exercise area is very convenient. Loved the pool and the basketball and soccer fields. The restrooms can be cleaner and some places are not accessible because of some people is using space for temporary stay.
The rocket ship themed playground is really nice. There is a smaller slide for toddlers next to it. In the summer’s they fill the wading pool on select days at select times. The wading pool is wonderful! It is probably about 18-30 inches at its deepest making it perfect for little ones. There are shady characters around, but in the day time it feels safe, however I definitely wouldn’t be there after the sun goes down.
Super nice peaceful experience for your little ones to have at this park. For the summer there is a wading pool after 10am. My child made friends easily, with the other friendly kids.
They have a new dog area added on 2/2023. It's a small fenced place, which is divided for big and small dogs. It's well kept and hopefully it continues that way. My dog gets really excited about coming here so it does the job. Dog-friendliness: There is a small fenced dog park area hidden near the back of the senior center.
Nice park,good environment, lots of good food & other stores close with alot of stuff and very kid friendly with exercise areas tennis & basketball court, clean restrooms

I love the park especially the soccer area. It's splendid. Yesterday the lights were put off around 9.pm though we needed more time to play. U enjoy being in the company of lots of young guys playing soccer

Great park to bring the kids. They also have many community events with the local church New Beginnings & when they have an event, even the Major Mr. Vargas will be enjoying himself with the Hawthorne Community Church Food giveaway BBQ & games for the kids! So if you ever are lucky to go when the church & mayor are reaching out to the community, make sure to ask for Pastor David. Cool Dude!
