History
In 1977, John Hayter returned home to begin his professional career practicing law. As a native son, he looked forward to establishing relationships with those who chose to reside in the area around his home town and those here on only a short-term basis. For over 35 years, he has continuously practiced law in the North Louisiana area on behalf of those residents and its visitors.
For 25 years, John enjoyed practicing law in small and medium size law firms. This practical experience gave him the knowledge and insight on the establishment and operation of a law practice. During those years, John studied and learned the excellent management skills necessary to operate a law firm.
In 2002, the time was right to venture forward with establishing a law practice under John’s tutelage. Over the next decade, the firm has operated profitably and never sacrificed the interests of its clients.
Ten years later the firm is strong, well-managed and aggressively protecting the interests of its clients.
In an effort to expand our services to our commercial clients, the firm joined with local real estate and commercial transaction attorney, Cynthia Peatross to form Hayter & Peatross. We can now handle more needs of our business clients in the operation, growth and sale of their businesses. Cynthia is also licensed in the State of Texas which allows us to provide additional services to our clients by assisting them if they cross the border into the Lone Star State.
