The Hazlet First Aid and Rescue Squad is a volunteer Emergency Medical Service and Rescue organization that serves the citizens of Hazlet, NJ.
The Hazlet First Aid and Rescue Squad is a volunteer Emergency Medical Service and Rescue organization. Our membership consists of NJ-State Certified EMTs and squad-certified drivers. We also have a Cadet program for students who are between the ages of 16 and 18 years old. Since our organization’s founding in 1946, our volunteers have provided free emergency medical care and ambulance transportation to the citizens of Hazlet, NJ as well as citizens in the surrounding areas. The Hazlet First Aid and Rescue Squad currently operates five ambulances, one KME Rescue Truck for vehicle extrication purposes, two first responder vehicles, a Special Operations vehicle for fire rehabilitation, and a rescue boat. We also house a Monmouth County NJ-EMS Task Force Staging Trailer.
