One of our favourite walks / hikes to do closeish to the city - it was peaceful, fairly easy to with wide paths at the beginning and had options for us to get into more of the forest. Recommend parking further away from the entrance to avoid paying for parking fees if that helps! Restrooms: Clean! Picnic area: Tables in front that you could use, it wasn't that busy but went on an Friday evening
Beautiful place for a picnic by the rushing waters. 4 outhouses available, and maybe 4,5 picnic tables. Plenty of easy to challenging trails nearby. Adventure is nearby for all. Very accessible by transit after a 15 minute walk. There is parking nearby as well. Come dip your toes in the waters on a hot Summer day.
Mostly easy casual walk/ hike along the river! Lots of dog walkers here throughout the year. But be sure not to wonder into the back country, the trail can lead you to places like Hanes valley and Coliseum mountain. People tend to get lost here all the time. Also it is wet and frozen in winter so you need to be prepare for the conditions. Even in summer cooler near the water. Pay parking in effect in busy season but still plenty of free spots available further away.
Only got slightly lost, not the clearest trails, but absolutely gorgeous. Such a good long walk, there’s both easier and more difficult terrain. Didn’t spot any bears while there.
Beautiful place. Plenty of trails and helpful people. Different difficulty levels aswell so there is something for everyone. Gets very busy but that's the be expected with such a place. Can't recommend enough. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly for sure. Picnic area: Some nice and clean areas to relax and enjoy
This has always been a nice park and I used to hike the Lynn loop, coliseum mtn. lynn peak and the needles countless times. Imagine my surprise when I had to pay $15 parking for the privilege today. I don't mind parking fees, but this is ridiculous. Even Grouse mountain is $10, not to mention Buntzen Lake and many other places are free.
A relatively hard trail. Although it is mostly covered under canopy trees, it's a beautiful trail with occasional pick a boo views. The challenge is rather on the ground than the grade. Tree roots and big rocks makes this trail a tricky on specially on your way coming back. Good sturdy hiking boots help protect your ankles
Beautiful place for enjoying day. There are a lot of nice trails - easy and moderate. Everywhere is green trees, woods. We were here on Saturday, we didnt met so many people. So this place is not so crowded in this time. Also after rainy days the path is safe and good.
Magical place with multiple great trails. Wish I could go back 200 years and see what it looked like then. I can see why all the lower mainland houses had shake roofs, and cedar siding.
Ice cold crystal clear water Just so nice to get there in Summer but parking is not FREE any more and super busy. The sign says $2.50/ hour but it’s really $3.10/ hour.
