Our goal is to help you uncover your true authentic self and help heal the wounds that may need to be integrated in the body and mind in order to heal.
Healing and art have always been one. Proven research shows us that art and healing come from the same source in the brain and body. This place is also connected to feeling and meaning. The process of healing is a very personal and unique experience. With an effective and progressive approach, Healing ARTS will provide you therapy to fit your needs and empower you on a positive path to growth and well-being.
As therapists, our goal is to help you uncover your true authentic self and help heal the wounds that may need to be integrated in the body and mind in order to heal. We will provide a safe and supportive environment that will incorporate a variety of mindful modalities. They can include talk therapy, art therapy, journaling, writing, sandtray, play therapy, and trauma based yoga. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Healing ARTS has a trauma focused foundation where our therapists are educated in the Neuroscience of trauma and how the brain responds to trauma. When working with trauma it is a body, mind, and brain integration process that will be guided by your therapist to help you understand how they work and heal together. Our therapists will provide you with a present and grounded client-centered approach where they are fully with you in the healing process to help you create present moment experiences.
Trauma is complex. It varies by type, source, impact, age, developmental level, and the strengths and challenges we have before the trauma. There are a number of ways trauma can manifest itself in the body and the mind such as hyperarousal, hypoarousal, dissociation, body memories, flash backs, affect deregulation, and PTSD. Each way is different in its understanding of trauma and how it manifests and how to treat it.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, we look forward to working with you to achieve access, transformation, and healing.
