The Health Information Technology program’s mission is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions as health information technicians in a variety of health care settings. Graduates will meet or exceed the competencies outlined in the domains, subdomains, and tasks of the accreditation agency.
Goals:
• Produce workforce ready graduates that are adequately prepared for current and emerging HIT/HIM roles.
• Promote professional and community leadership.
• The HIT program will demonstrate responsiveness to the needs of the communities of interest.
