Glad those statues are gone! We had a great time there this weekend. The atmosphere and the people were really nice. Ms. Telisa Franklin put on a magnificent festival and we hope to be a part of it next year as well. Thanks Memphis
It’s nice now. The old statue is gone and we celebrated JUNETEENTH there this year!
Wonderful place to walk, do yoga, exercise but don't sit down for long. The bugs will get all on you. This park have a crazy amount of bugs. The park is clean, quiet, and have lots of shade from trees.
Juneteenth is my Independence Day! I would like to see where this becomes a pilgrimage for all African American born in West Tennessee. T-shirt s that u can buy in advance from venders that has the date/year and place on it for memories to share for years. More kid/family friendly, like learn heritage dance, dress up and take pictures, kid horseshoe toss, kid auction of soda, chips and snack and stuff kids like, young chefs volunteer to show off their signature dish with audience grade sampling, vender fashion show, design a quit square then get the squares sewn into a beautiful quilt for Juneteenth 2023 and have a silent auction and announcement the winner at the park. I enjoyed Juneteenth 2022 with my granddaughter and we had fun! But she wanted more fun
Great place for a quiet picnic lunch. Great tree cover, too!
I came out one Saturday to do a yoga course or was very fun and had shielding over us and many benches of you needed to sit down besides on the ground
Beautiful Park!!.. Loved The Juneteenth Festival!!... Its was so worth the heat!! ...
nice, clean, small park, half a mile loop
Love the removed confederate statue. This is the progress the country needs.
