I was in Atlantic City for a work trip. I had a terrible accident and gashed my head open in a hotel bathroom. The hotel failed to get me any help in over an hour that I waited for them. My partner drove me to this urgent care. I was seen quickly the doctor was extremely kind and effective. Painlessly stitched me up. Gave me clear care instructions and in the following week their office worked with my company competently on the workers comp claim. This urgent care, was professional effective and easily one of the best experiences I have had in a hospital of any kind.

We were visiting my family when my son started feeling ill.  They had just closed but they welcomed us, was great with my son, and Dr. Stern took time to examine him and treat him after hours making sure the medicines were available at a local pharmacy… Definitely a great experience!  Very professional, compassionate and caring.  Thank you HealthMed and staff for going above and beyond.

Excellent visit. Reception registered me, a new patient,  and had me in the treatment room within 15 minutes of my entering the facility. The nurse was friendly, efficient  , and knowledgeable . Doctor showed interest and focused on my issue. He was willing to discuss my diagnosis and treatment in detail and was very willing to answer all my questions. The facility was neat and clean. Overall, a very positive experience.  I would highly recommend HealthMed!

Disgraceful people. They are not an urgent care, they will bill you as primary and then illegally charge your card on file three months later. She wouldn’t hear me out and was texting me ridiculous atrocities. I don’t know how these people are still in business.

I went to HealthMed Urgent care to receive treatment for blood sugar spikes. I was greeted by the receptionist whom seemed very caring and willing to listen to my problems Which why I gave two stars. I finally reach the back and the nurse noticed I feel cold to the touch. He takes my vitals and I am normal. However, my fingers were turning blue. I was panicking because I started to feel lightheaded and heavy as I was talking to the nurse. He then took down my symptoms and told me the nurse practitioner would come in. The practitioner came in and I carefully discussed everything that was going on with me and it seemed like he was listening. However, he restated what other doctors said previously about my symptoms without addressing the fact that I was turning cold and limp. I tried to plead with him about listening to my current problem and he said that “There was nothing he could do about it.” He suggested appetite pills for the weight loss I experienced and if I wanted to do the blood work prescribed by my doctor at the office. I was frustrated and faint by then. He returned back with the consent sheet and I asked him how long would take to do my blood work. He stated it would take a day. I needed treatments ASAP because I was feeling lightheaded. I pleaded with him to help me because I really was not feeling too well at all! I almost passed out when I was pleading with him. So I had left $135 short without any treatment. Which left me to take a risk and go to the hospital. The nurse who attended my case noticed I looked cold and tired. She immediately took care of me, and I was treated with saline solution to rehydrate my body.  I almost could’ve died due to negligence on HealthMed’s behalf. Thanks to the nurses at ER I was able to function again.

UPDATE: A few days after I posted this review, someone from the practice reached out to my mom to check on her progress and to talk specifically about this review.  They asked more questions about exactly what happened to warrant such a review and seemed genuinely concerned about the service my mom was provided. Because of their interest in this review, I changed their rating from 2 to 3 stars because I was impressed with the fact that they cared enough to reach out. They swear prescription WAS called into to CVS, however every time we called CVS they didn’t have it.  Original review: Front desk staff, nurses, and doctors were very nice and easy to work with as well as helpful. Facility was clean, however staff was not enforcing the mask rule. We took a family member there after a fall and she was prescribed muscle relaxers to help ease her extreme pain. When we went to pick up the prescription from the local CVS it had not been called in. We called multiple times throughout the day and they reported the urgent care had not called in the prescription. We waited until the next morning and it was still not called in. We eventually gave up on the prescription.

If there was a zero star, I would. Susan the office manager can not run this office. She states the Dr has not been in the office and was unable to sign checks for 2 weeks. Long story short I over paid because I had insurance and have been waiting for a reimbursement check for over a month.  Dr Stern who owns the urgent care was unable to comment on any of this. After telling me it can not get signed still till next week she states it will get done today. I’ll keep you posted. I would encourage anyone to choose another facility because if they are unable to complete simple office task who knows what can happen when your health care needs are in there hands.

Amazing place. We drove over an hour away to come here & I’m glad I found them! My husband, my mother in law & I are traveling to Aruba internationally & we needed proof of a negative PCR test. Yes people you have to pay get over it! Go to CVS if you want a free test. But this place DOES take insurance cause we paid ONLY $75 per person & had our results within 12 hours!!!! Thank you guys so much! We pulled in called them they came out within a minute & did the tests. Thank you all so much!! Would definitely use them again & recommend them if traveling!

I can not say enough about how great this Urgent Care facility is.  I was fortunate enough to see Dr Marcel Stern after day injuring my back at work.  He spent a lot of time with me, examined me thoroughly and made sure I left with an accurate diagnosis, information, prescriptions and follow up appointment.  The medical assistants, front desk also made my visit as easy as can be.  They were very kind, compassionate and made me their top priority while I was there.  I can not say enough about this facility.  It was very clean, all new equipment, x-ray and such nice staff.  Each visit I had was just as great!  I highly recommend this Urgent Care.  Thank you for making me look forward to my doctor’s appointments and superior care!!!

This was the best urgent care experience I've ever had in this area. Dr Stern was actually in the AC office, because of the holiday, they were short staffed. The receptionist was very helpful, kind, and told me this upfront but I had read good reviews and decided to wait. It was worth the wait. The medical assistant took me right back to make the process go quickly. Dr Stern was very thorough and explained the treatment for my cold to make sure I understood. I was very impressed by him. The facility is very nice and new. Dr Stern showed me around and they have many features most urgent cares do not offer. I'm glad I found this urgent care and will be coming back here when I need an urgent care visit.
