I have been a patient at health smart for nearly 25 years. I can not say enough how much I appreciate and respect the work they do. As a hairstylist my body takes a beating and Dr Dickholtz and Dr Jason keep me in line and healthy.
My lower back has been hurting ever since my son was born 2 years ago. I first went to a standard chiropractor who made 3 adjustments before taking an x-ray and I was told to press my pressure points for relief. I then decided to explore other options. A coworker of mine recommended Healthsmart. I meet Dr. Jason and instantly felt I could trust him. We went through the process together and I soon realized how much exact science went into my corrections needed to my body and overall health. I had instant relief when I left the office after the first correction. I can not say enough good thing about Healthsmart and Dr. Jason. I am truly grateful for them putting me on the right path. Dr. Jason Langslet of the HealthSmart is one of the best Chiropractic Doctors in board certified NUCCA practice, which is gentle yet effective ways to cure aches and pains and get relief. Dr. Jason Langslet is an honest, hard-working yet flexible and genuine professional. I am so very glad to have him as my goto Chiropractic doctor in the Industry.
I am young, but i had very bad neck and hip pain for years. After getting checked by Dr. Jason, it was found that I only had a slight misalignment, but it was still enough to get adjusted. And after just one adjustment, my pain kept getting less and less. After about one month, my pain went from a 7/10 to a 1/10. Truly amazing and I highly recommend. Dr. Jason spends a lot of time going over the procedure with you and all of the results, and the adjustment itself is so gentle and painless. Such a great experience!
I brought my 15 year old daughter to HealthSmart to help with her bad posture. I chose HealthSmart because they are the only Nucca care practice in Illinois that has board certified doctors, so I thought I was in good hands. She did not have any other back issues other than the posture prior to Nucca care. Two months into going to HealthSmart, my daughter experienced severe pain to the point she could not walk. She plays club volleyball and was mostly seeing Dr. Jason Langslet at this time for the adjustments. I took her to an orthopedic doctor for her severe back pain and the MRI showed that my daughter had two stress fractures in her back. Playing volleyball and the adjustments at the same time were too much for her back to handle. The doctors at HealthSmart knew my daughter was playing volleyball, but never emphasized how unsafe it was to have adjustments during the same time she was actively playing volleyball! I would caution anyone who wants to go for Nucca treatments. The light pressure that they put on your neck for the adjustments can possibly cause a carotid dissection. This care caused so much harm to my daughter. She’s not able to play sports any longer.
A bout of sciatica was eliminated instantly after my first NUCCA adjustment. 15 years later at 65 years old, I have not been troubled by sciatica or colds or influenza or headaches or any illness since that time. Only 1 or 2 visits per year for adjustments has accomplished this. My entire family now depends on Healthsmart for our continued good health.
Have had lower back issues since 2009. In July of 2021, had horrible spasms and sciatica- which left me totally immobile and unable to really do anything athletically- was difficult putting on my shoes. At the advice of a friend, I reluctantly made an appointment to see Dr Dickholtz I had been to a few other “alternative” methods - with no success - after going through the screening process and getting my atlas corrected - I had instantaneous results - my sciatica totally gone - I felt more stable and balanced - I was able to golf again - with a much faster swing speed and more power. Really is crazy to think that a simple correction of this vertebrate - would effect the rest of the body - but if you do your research - you will see countless people ha being the same success as I did. Even if you feel great- I recommend just going to see how you stack up - it is painless and it really does help your athletic abilities - when your body is in balance everything just performs better.
I've been dealing with the feeling of being uncomfortable in my own body for over 7 years. I've been told repeatedly that it's stress or that I'm perfectly fine and healthy. I thought I found chiropractors that have helped in the past but they've just wanted to keep me coming back and not get to the root of my problem. I wish I had heard of NUCCA earlier but it's never too late to get help. Dr. Jason has helped me more than I could have ever hoped. I had chronic discomfort pain and every stressor made it feel like it was the last straw I could handle. I don't feel like my spine is contorting anymore and I don't compensate walking, sitting, stretching, ECT. If you are afraid of chiropractors or having your body cracked, do not fret! As someone who is sensitive to touch and knowing everything going on my body, I was incredibly impressed with how noninvasive NUCCA is! I was told how light it feels but I still was astounded by how little I felt! I'm recommending anyone who might possibly have anything to gain from the work Dr. Jason provides. I can't rave hard enough about how much I've improved. I am in my early 20s and I thought I would never get better. I will never stop, I thought I was a lost cause and I finally feel like I have a future again. Thank you for choosing the work you do, it saved my future!
I’ve tried many things to get relief from my neck and back pain… PT, chiropractors, injections… and nothing has been as effective at reducing the pain as my treatment at HealthSmart. Not only is the pain better, but my posture is better too. I highly recommend giving them a try!
For years I suffered with neck pain and tried just about everything to alleviate the pain. One day I had a health coach suggest I try Nucca Chiropractic. I called Health Smart and talked to Dr. Jason Langslet, and he suggested I come in for a consultation. I decided to come in for an exam. Dr. Jason was able to determine the exact place of the misalignment and administered the treatment. It was so gentle and effective I was back in alignment with just one treatment! During subsequent follow up visits, I am holding my alignment well. I am so happy to report that the root cause of the pain is gone and my balance has been restored.
