I was going to visit my son in Encompass. I struggle walking. I was making my way to the entry and one lady came out and went to her car. Another worker saw me hesitate and almost lose my balance and came out with a wheelchair. The lady that went .to her car came back to help me. For 2 workers to see me struggling and help me was amazing. Thank you ladies so much.
I came to Encompass two weeks ago I will be leaving this evening. The car I received here was not what I expected it was actually better, everyone was polite and respectful and didn't get annoyed at all my questions. Everyone introduced them self and what we are going to do today in terms of their specific qualifications.somone brought me a daily schedule of therapy times and the person I would be working with.i would recommend Encompass to anyone who needs rehab after surgery The doctors and staff really listen to your concerns and spend quality time with you. Even the Galen nursing student follow the routine of telling you who they are and why they are coming in your room they are respectful and courtious. My PT On and speach therapist we're great they gave you a schedule of what was going on that day and made you feel welcome and happy to be there. Thank you, Nancy
I chose to complete 6 months of my RN clincal experience at this facility. The building and grounds are beautifully maintained and clean. Each patient room was private and clean. Mrs. Kylie and her OT/PT and speech teams are hands down the best at what they do! They went out of their way to teach us as students how to properly move, transfaer, walk, and help patients working on recovery. Newer/updated cutting edge OT/PT tools and equipment. Each piece was cleaned and sanitized after every use, and this was before covid! Mrs. Mona at the Front desk is informative and greets everyone kindly with a smile. Security staff Excellent. Maintane/environmental services Mr. Noah does such a wonderful job! The RN staff were amazing and wanted to teach us how to practice excellent safe patient care. Amy RN. Teri RN, Shawn LPN, Leslie RN, Barbara RN, and Larry RN/INSTRUCTOR to name just a few of encompasses finest Nurses. Nurse aids there work so hard and have such caring hearts for their patients. Dietary/kitchen staff were always helpful working to make sure each patient had nutritious meals. Case managers were accessible and wonderful resources for their patients. I was blessed to get to experience the inside workings of encompasses and I highly recommend them after over 9 years of health care experience myself I can wholeheartedly say they are the best at what they do!
My Mother, who is 98, was a patient at Encompass after a fall. The stay was an excellent experience. The whole hospital was excellent in her care. The Drs. and nurses were great and the therapy was outstanding, not only in the gym, but would stop by for a visit just to chat and make her feel at home. Her nickname was “Sunshine” and she ate that up! The meals her great and she gained a little weight. We are so thankful that we found Encompass. Thank you to everyone there-you are great!
This was an amazing place!! I could barely walk, but my physical therapist got me motivated and I pushed myself. Beth, Sydney and Lora are my heroes . I am home and doing great. This is a great place for someone who needs physical therapy.
I love this place , very knowledgeable about my situation and medicine. Food is fantastic.
My Mother spent two weeks in the middle of March here....she was well taken care of and will give anyone who works there a five star rating....from the Drs to the nurses, the aides, the therapists, the kitchen, right down to the people who cleaned her room. They were caring, friendly and professional. My Mother was given access to the dietician and pharmacist to go over a medical concern she had. If it ever becomes necessary to enter a rehabilitation facility again, she would choose Encompass hands down.
My mom was admitted two nights ago. I came to visit. My service dog was prohibited from entry. They got his shot records from Banfield and knew he was up to date, in his service vest and was leashed. Since the refusal, I have heard from Whitney, who trains their team leaders. Their new policy changed in January to allow service dogs in all patient areas has reportedly not been properly shared. I am going to try again to see my mom, tomorrow. I am boosting my star rating by two because of the assurances made in the phone call. We will see what happens tomorrow I guess. #update: no problems getting my service dog inside to visit my mom. They even put "visit with dog" on her daily schedule. Mom says she really likes the hospital because no one lays around in their beds. They are all up, dressed and working out!
My father received outstanding care from all levels of staff at Encompass. They truly cared about him and his progress towards his goal of becoming more independent. He loved the food as well! Just a great group of caring professionals.
If I could give zero stars I would. If you can’t be with your loved one 24 hours while they are staying there don’t send them here. In two weeks here are my issues: 1. She is a fall risk. Not to be left alone. Left alone and fell in bathroom. Didn’t call life squad to check her out. House doctor said they would check every four hours. Patient complained of a headache for days after the fall while just getting over Brain cancer surgery but they were not concerned. She didn’t have a headache prior to being left alone to fall. Did she hit her head? She doesn’t know? No nurse was there how did they know? 2. Facility was suppose to transfer her to radiation and chemo. Didn’t have it down. Didn’t take her. She goes every day. 3. Very next day radiation and chemo was 50 minutes late. Keep in mind someone is there from the family waiting each day. 4. Radiologist appointment no show they didn’t have it down. Kinda important to keep these appointments when we are told transportation will be provided. Again family is waiting. 5. Friend observed nurses being rude to patient. 6. Again left in bathroom unattended and fell again. Transported by life squad to hospital because of medical issues. Why was she not the first time? Same medical issues? The hospital asked when she had a stroke the place did not know. Her condition is due to brain cancer and surgery no stroke. If she had a stroke no one told us.
