Using new information to own optimal health in the body.
Understanding how thoughts, feelings and actions affect ease or dis-ease.
“The Patient is the best Physician”
~Dr. Edward Osmonov, Kaiser Permanente
Welcome to a new class and material that is designed for everybody on the planet who desires to live a long, happy, healthy life. The above quote is from my designated physician whom I have not seen in a few years, thankfully.
Is our health rewarded or punished by our DNA? Yes and no. We do inherit genes from our ancestors. We certainly look like our relatives. We all have heard and spoken the generalized references about our parents. “She has her father’s eyes“. “He has his grandmother’s mouth.” So, if we have inherited external physical traits, do we have the same internally? Yes.
The difference is how we think compared to our ancestors. Until the modern era mankind thought that many diseases were incurable. They thought. Then, people began to think differently. Even though the cures involved medicine, people had to start to think about the alternatives to illness, which inspired research.
The power of positive thinking has been in place for decades as a tool for the deeper thinkers. And, it eventually made its way into companies that employ large sales forces as a motivational tool. We have heard statements such as “You become what you think.” We can trace information in The Secret to Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich which was written in 1937. The movie What The Bleep Do We Know introduced the effects of quantum physics on the mind to the general public. The body is the mouth of the subconscious.
Even without all these modern tools we do sense our own feelings. When we think positive thoughts we feel good. When we think negative thoughts we feel badly. I have witnessed many individuals who think because they are directing negativity such as anger or ill will toward someone else, those thoughts are completely externalized. That is false. What you think is inside of you. Thoughts are constructive or destructive. Throughout this course we will analyze those thoughts and how you affect yourself. Are you ready to start thinking differently?
