We were looking for a place that had gluten-free dairy free and for myself sodium free dining. Well that’s very hard to come by. We came across a place called good beet in a quaint little town called Haddon Heights New Jersey, when we first walked in the place it was very clean, very inviting the furniture is High quality seating, the tables were very unique looked like they’ve been cut out of a tree. They have an excellent selection of vegan items. We ordered a better burger, which is a Portabella mushroom and ground walnut burger with fresh sliced Jersey tomatoes, Boston bib lettuce, and it had a sort of thousand island sauce on there that was excellent. It also had sliced homemade pickles that were very good. the bun itself gluten-free was also very good. they also had a coconut bacon, BLT, and I thought to myself coconut bacon. Wow never had that it was delicious. It was crispy textured like bacon with a slight coconut taste. This also had lettuce, tomatoes, avocado spread on it and gluten-free bread. Both sandwiches were very pleasing all the ingredients went well together. My lady had ordered a mud water latte which consisted of mushroom coffee, turmeric, walnut, maple, milk, and vanilla syrup. Everything was vegan. This was served in a cool little coffee cup it had southwestern colors, and it Ridged edges around the outside. It looked like it was made in a kiln. The coffee was very pleasing although my lady ordered it I couldn’t help myself from taking sips of hers. I believe the pricing is in line with other places that serve this kind of fare approximately $12-$15 per sandwich. The latte was around $6.50 very nice people a great experience we will return in the near future. Vegetarian options: If I’m correct, this place is 100% vegan there was no dairy or gluten also Parking: We parked on one of the side streets I didn’t take notice if there were meter on the main street where the restaurant was Wheelchair accessibility: Very wide door, easily accessible for a wheelchair no stairs to go up Dietary restrictions: This place is vegan and offers gluten-free products. Nothing is processed excellent menu selection and also excellent drink selection.
It's pricey but great customer service. Food taste good. Bowl Quantity is a good but I felt that cook added too much white rice in the Bowl. Also I think which the sandwich they could of given something on the side so its more filling. You will need to find parking because the street parking looked like its always full. overall good experience. Look at the photos!!!
First of all Mike was so great and helpful! All the staff that me and my dad interacted with were more than pleasant and helpful. The food here is so fresh, healthy and flavorful. It's very rare to find vegan food these days that is not just junk food. The food here is so whole and you can really taste the homemade flavors and textures. I love the sauces and salad dressings especially but the burgers are really great as well. I think everything is reasonably priced for what it is and the quality of organic ingredients! I'd highly recommend. Can't wait to come back and try out the brunch! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan
The food contains high-quality ingredients, is organic, and tastes good. However, no non-vegan options are available and vegan doesn’t automatically mean “healthier”, and the food is overpriced. The service and atmosphere are good as well. It’s better than most other places you’ll find, but there are still improvements to be made.
Gorgeous, airy spot in the midst of charming Haddonfield. So many amazing vegan options, including soft serve! Check it out and enjoy!Food: 5/5
Awesome organic vegan casual dining, we got sandwiches bbq cauliflower & crispy Tofu. They tasted awesome, but were on the small size and were more like something we could have made at home for the $$. The folks next to us, got the nachos which were huge and they also shared what looked like a massive bowl of salad, so maybe we just didn’t order the right stuff lol There is an attached creamery with ice cream and coffee plus what is kind of a vegan convenience store with a bunch of really hard to find packaged items both packaged and frozen. Just watch out because there aren’t price stickers on everything. The freezer section had hard to find vegan items, but they also sell their own frozen desserts, tofu nuggets, meatballs, etc. I had the vegan frozen Twix bar, it was delicious, I get the idea but it didn’t taste like a Twix. No caramel If you’re dining in, it’s not exactly fast casual, so plan time to hang out. They get busy, but you can also order ahead. Parking is just $.25/ hr but you need quarters.
My daughter & her family 5 of us ate at the Good Beet on Haddon Ave in Westmont on Sat afternoon, May 14. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the Mac & cheese, spaghetti & meatballs & burgers. I had the coconut, lettuce & tomato sandwich. It was so tasty. The coconut was crisp & sweet. I will definitely get it again. The desserts are very good. My daughter & I are gluten free & thought the food was excellent.
What a beautiful experience. The food was amazing. The manager Mike was super cool and very knowledgeable about their products and food didahes. The chef was also super kind, friendly and funny. I even made a wonderful connection we both see turning into friendship. My overall experience was top tier. This is sure to be my favorite vegan spots in all of Jersey.
Vegan Mango soft serve with marshmallows and cookie crumble just blew me away with yummyness.... The fact that everything was vegan including the toppings was just a real treatFood: 5/5
Super delicious! So many vegan and gluten-free options, incredible! We ate outside and had Big Mac, cauliflower sandwich with kale salad and lots of baked goods. Solid sugar-less yet tasteful drink options! Only the potato fries were a but dry and not so good, probably usually better - the sauce with them was excellent. Thanks so much also to the friendly staff - great food, service and hygiene practices during pandemic. We’ll be back and drove many hours to visit, worth it!
