Appointment time is 12nn. Got here 10:45am, not a busy morning. I was greeted by a nice lady. Got a door, they break the seal open door and backup to the dock. At 11:30am got my papers
I had a delivery of empty cardboard boxes from West Rock so I pulled into the lot that had the sign for shipping and receiving. I parked off to the side and checked in. I was told that those deliveries go around back to the entrance off of Ohio St. The employee had no idea how I was supposed to get turned around to get back to the street so I entered the shipping side with the employee parking lot. It's tight back there so watch your equipment and move slowly. I was able to exit out the other side and enter the next driveway. It takes some more maneuvering to be able to sight side back into the dock if someone is already in a dock but it's not too hard. The docks are a little tight but much easier than what I saw on the opposite end. Trailer was unloaded in less than an hour and they brought my paperwork out to me. They will request to see your ID upon check in so remember to bring that inside.

But I don't have that choice, then choose 1 the least. 12/07/22 in the morning I accepted the because pickup at 10 am from Blue Island IL , truck load of pallets for straight delivery. Once I loaded came straight for delivery around 4.27 pm. Supervisor denied my load because po# is not in his system. I found parking near the company. Next day 12/08/22 broker ask me to go back Again, they denied again. The behavior also kind of rude. Now I am waiting to get some answers. Short trip, this much waiting won't justify anything. Broker didn't mentioned anything about appointment, Terrible location. Never take their load. I'm the victim between broker and Receiver. I lost many other loads already booked. Terrible location for delivery.
Entrance is off us-20 right next to Richards Very tight right hand turn Take 421 to us20 and make your lefts easier that way If delivering hug the building wall receiving is before the gate and tight backing in so hug the building when you enter For shipping its thru the gate NO OVER NIGHT PARKING NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS THEY ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY my appointment was for 10:30 i got here 9:30-45 they didn’t start unloading me till 10:30 and i was out by 11:15 with 6-7 pallets only in trailer Two stars because receiving was nice and friendly
If I could leave zero stars I would I had 540 hours with IES the temp service more than enough to get hired in through Hearthside so I went in the Hearthside HR office asked to get hired in the told me a big Fat NOOOOO!!!! So I ended my employment with IES because I did not want to stay a temp for the rest of my life so I seeked different employment and now I am apart of a company that welcomed me in with open arms and makes me feel like part of there work family.
They have one shipping & receiving at US 20,and second shipping &receivng at Ohio street where I had pickup.Be prepare to be loaded 3-4 hours.No restroom.No strictly appointment.Checked in at. 17-30.Out 20-30
I was hired in as a machine operator, worked here for a short while without proper training and everyday they put me in a different area of the factory and some days even doing a job not related to machinery. I did not receive a paycheck for the first 3 weeks I was there as well due to the staff “forgetting to record my punches” even though I was to report to them everyday before receiving an employee ID. Work environment and people that work there are no good and obviously overworked. The organization of the entire company is terrible, one of the managers, Jay Bell, came off as very off putting and rude and is in no position to be part of management. Would not recommend working here or even bothering with any of it unless it’s your last option. They don’t care about their employees.
My appt was 7am got here at 6am and I'm out at 7am beautiful day. It abt half a mile on us 20 w left side of the st. Don't worry about the GPS keep straight on 20.
Long wait of 5 hours there is 2 buildings if you are live load go ahead o building which is on ohio street
Terrible terrible terrible! I would not recommend! Started my first day to be hired onto as a scaler, instead put me in dough mixing. I don't mind working, I'm a hard worker.. if my trainer showed up... I was placed with someone just to watch and they asked why I was following them?!?! Totally incompetent workplace, everyone pretty much does whatever they want, even though when your hired on they explain there's "severe consequences." Called HR, Angel, and she was very rude. Didn't treat me how I thought HR would have. Pay is not worth it!!!
