HEAT is the Humanitarian & Environmental Action Team of Chandler-Gilbert Community College, founded in the fall 2006 semester by CGCC students under the office of student life and leadership, to be a grass roots student led club/organization dedicated to humanitarian issues, environmental issues, ecological literacy, sustainability, gardening, and civic engagement.
Our mission is to personally & collectively seek a sustainable world that satisfies current needs without jeopardizing the livelihood of future generations. We further seek to cultivate awareness about destructive behaviors that effect the environment and promote protective action. Our commitment to sustainability is coupled with our devotion to all life on Earth.
