A very, very busy store. Even though it is a HEB PLUS, at 4 pm , very hard to get a parking place. Store floors are not that clean. Forget it about the bathrooms-- nasty!! They do have lots of plants for sale out front. Prices deflect to this area verses Temple. They are higher.
Horrible service and horrible food. I’ve gotten expired food in my curbside orders. Produce is always disgusting never fresh. I have so many issues with this pharmacy.I call to check on med status I’m told it’s ready or ready at such and such time or tell them when I need it ready and it never fails, I go to pick up and my meds are NEVER READY after waiting 45 mins In car line or over 20 mins in the inside line. I always find myself having to make two trips and waist 20-60 mins in a line each time just to pick up ONE Rx. I will no longer be using this HEB for any of my services. I’d rather use a small hometown pharmacy that doesn’t take my insurance and pay out of pocket then having to deal with HEB Woodway pharmacy ever again. UPDATE 9/29/22: I was told by someone that responding to this review that the store would be made aware of these issues and taken care of. Today I go into this H‑E‑B and see these rotting Lemons. I’m native Texan and have moved lots, this is the only HEB I’ve ever encountered with continuous POOR QUALITY FOOD issues.
They were out of a lot of the items I wanted. The staff was doing a great job trying to keep up. Extremely busy at 3pm. All the check outs were open and staffed. Baggers floating between check outs. I give the very friendly and helpful employees 5 stars. It's a great store, and you get HEB quality.
The H‑E‑B itself is fantastic the patrons who go there can get hidy tidy but not always! This is a special, when you’re going to spend $150+ becaus they have the most special selection of inventory! The floral department is so beautiful and flourishing. The wine section is also huge!
I rode around the parking lot for 20 minutes to find a parking place and when I got in, the store was rearranging several aisles. The aisles that were functional were very crowded. Seems like there should be more competition in the grocery business in Waco.
Almost as big as a Walmart supercenter but sells mostly food. I have found HEB store brand items to be very high quality at significant savings.
Over crowded, over priced, and way way over hyped. Also this is Texas, and you have anti gun sings at the front door. How can you call your self a Texan and be anti self defense. Go to Aldi, everything is way cheaper.
I would like for someone to explain to me why the best parking spaces in the entire lot are taken by the folks who aren't even going in to the store. The only people benefitting from having these spots so close to the store are the employees so they don't have to walk as far. Seems like as a courtesy to those shopping in the store, the best parking spaces would be available for them.... we are the ones spending money in the store... not the employees. Make them walk to the farthest part of the lot. Why would the employees care? They get paid either way.
I was so excited to move back to Texas and have an H‑E‑B down the road only to be repeatedly disappointed. I drive passed the Walmart to go H‑E‑B and now starting to contemplate just going to Walmart or trying a different H‑E‑B. Twice, I’ve bought my coffee creamer, well within its date, for it to be curdled, there is always an issue with the pharmacy and yesterday I went to buy my broccoli only to have it covered in some type of bug larvae. I expect some pests in my produce occasionally, but I removed 6 before I gave up. Each time I call about the issues, I just get an apology, but the issue is never really addressed or corrected.
I didn't get to really shop HEB, but my Texas family absolutely LOVE this store. I liked what I saw just inside the doors. I couldn't get myself past the clothing LoL. I thought they had the cutest clothes. I hope before I leave here I get a chance to go nose around the store just for FUN. Yes I am that crazy lady that likes to paruse the isles at the grocery store or any store really! Clean, nice and friendly store
