Heiwa Asian Food

This place used to be one of my favorite places to go to but as of late it’s really not been as good as it used to be. The sushi is “meh” but for being in the Midwest the pickings are slim. Their chicken fried rice is still a very safe option

Our waitress was very friendly and quick. The food was hot and fresh. I had the black pepper chicken, and it was SO good. The portion was double what I could even eat. One of the best lunch deals around and pretty good overall. We love the way they serve the lunch specials in the segmented trays to separate all the individual portions of the meal. We also really like the VERY reasonably priced sushi as a lunch option. Also very impressed with the bathroom cleanliness!

Place was dirty. Table was gross. Food was hot but my girlfriends chicken was hard as though it had been refrigerated and reheated. My beef and broccoli hardly had any beef and what was there tasted old. Was not the best experience for us and will not return to this restaurant.

I've had no problems here at all. Food is always great tasting!! Highly recommend for take out anytime, and they are quick as well!

Ordered takeout for dinner last night and it was awful. I was hoping for good things based on past good reviews. We’re new to the area and won’t be back unless it changes. The food was so incredibly dried out and seemed old. it seemed as if they made huge batches of things and had it under a hot lamp for hours before we ordered it. Ended up throwing it out and ordering from golden palace in Olathe and it was great!

I can always judge whether or not the main entree will be good based on the miso soup, and the miso was a disappointment, so I wasn't surprised that my bento was as well. The waitress was nice, thus the 2 stars, otherwise I'd give it one. The salad was soggy, rice was overcooked, and the chicken katsu was dry and bland. It's bad when the tastiest part of your meal is the Dr. Pepper.

The service here is very good. You are promptly greeted and seated when you walk in the door. The quality of food left a LOT to be desired. I had sushi and it was the first time that the sushi was so bad I could not finish it. The "warm" parts were room temperature and some of the pieces resembled pieces of leather. There was no flavor and honestly it tasted as though they were getting rid of fish just before it turned. My wife had the broccoli and beef dish. It also was not good. She left most of it and said there was very little flavor and the sauce tasted more like gravy. It's a bummer. We always support local business whenever possible.

I struggled to finish the food I ordered. The lo mein texture was just off, overcooked and soft. It was also extremely bland. The white rice was fluffy and gave me false hope. It has legitimately been difficult to get through the food I ordered to not waste it. Egg rolls were good, but tasted the same as any other location. I ordered with very low expectations, and a warning from someone else that it would be a mistake. I didn't listen, because pickings are slim in gardner especially areas that will deliver through a third party. But it's really not worth it. Drive somewhere else. I'm sorry. I review places that I feel require a fair warning to others or that are far above my expectations and unfortunately this experience has been the former.

Extremely over priced for very bland and salty food. Spent $102 dollars to end up throwing it all away. Whatever you do do not go here! China taste is 100% better and worth every penny!
