Helmers' Restaurant in uptown Hoboken is one of the oldest restaurants in town. Opening in 1936, when the Helmer family came from Germany, and then selling in late 1940's to the Lueders from Bremerhaven. Helmers' is most known for its authentic German cuisine and German-style atmosphere complete with high wooden booths, beer steins and huge Bavarian cuckoo clock.
Helmers' Restaurant has a quality menu with over 100 items from soups, steaks, seafood, sandwiches & of course German Speciaties like Bratwurst, Schnitzels, Sausages, Potatoes & Meat in generous portions! Open for lunch & dinner! Helmers' is a must-visit this Oktoberfest.
