Help for Health is the only non-profit hospice provider, we serve Fremont county patients in their own home or our stand-alone homelike inpatient facility.
Help for Health is a non-profit hospice organization established in Fremont County. We also provide a multitude of other services to the residents of this community.
The Health Van began in 1996 and continues to this day. The mission of the Health Van is to transport patients to and from Casper Wyoming to receive radiation treatments for cancer that are not available locally.
Hospice Care was added in 2008 after the residents of Fremont County voted to impose a 1% capital sale to build a residential hospice home. Help for Health is one of two hospices in Fremont County and the only non-profit hospice care provider in the area. We provide outpatient hospice care or inpatient care in our residential hospice home. The Home was the brain child of the late Mary Neil. She had a vision of providing a comfortable home like environment to individuals who may otherwise live alone and die alone. After the home was built, Help for Health established a full service, Medicare Certified hospice care program to provide hospice care to patients regardless of where the individual resides. Help for Health also provides specialized hospice care to residents of long-term care facilities.
The Tough Enough to Help Cancer Fund came under our control in 2010. The fund's humble beginnings started with a pink pair of chaps and a heartfelt desire to establish a fund that would financially assist Fremont County Residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Help for Health continues to add programs and services to fill the gaps in the health care needs of our community. It is our mission to "Honor our commitment to serve our community one person at a time".
