Old Fire Station No. 5 was built in 1910 to house "two pieces of apparatus, five horses and 14 men."
The old fire station is now vacant and in desperate need of repair. Fire Station No. 5 operated continuously for 111 years at 347 Riverside Ave. until moving to its new location at 2344 Forest St. in 2008.
