Helping Hart was established after watching the impact of Hurricane Sandy on the northeast US and has been designed to provide clothing to those in need due to unfortunate loss. For each garment sold to a consumer through www.helpinghart.com, one is given away to a person in need here in the U.S.
Helping Hart is partnering with the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Atlanta campus, to promote a design challenge among its students. Groups of 3-5 students will be given a box of Hartwell apparel and ask to create a unique piece of art out of the garments supplied. Judging will occur and a winner named at a special event to be held at SCAD on Thursday, April 25.
There will be two winners: Grand Prize Winner and Fan Favorite.
The Grand Prize Winner choice winner will receive mentorship opportunities, cash and a trip to NYC for a day with our sister company, Spiegel.
The people’s choice winner will receive $500 cash prize.
