Thus is the best park in Bryan County. We go there 3 -4 days to walk, enjoying watching geese swimming in the ponds.
Beautiful Park it has 8 softball fields with 2 pavilions for a picnic, 2 ponds,a large playground for kids, batting cage, tennis court, basketball court a football and soccer field. A large gym for basketball and on certain weekends they have skating you can schedule to have parties if you choose. Nice friendly staff and very clean bathrooms.
Very clean and well maintained fields! Wish the football team had bleachers set up on both sides, but this was more off season so they may during regular. The older gentleman that was there for the complex was super sweet!
My grandson loves this Lil play park
They are still rebuilding, but the kids and I had a great time playing and running around.
Even after a tornado destroyed our park, The Rec team made sure we had a field to play our last game of the season on. Cant wait to see it all restored
Been coming here for years. My grandson played in a baseball tournament and they charged $10 for adults to get in. I don't mind paying but at the least a place should have decent restrooms and concession stand. We played on the old part of the park and the bathrooms were horrible. You can't see , it's dark in there and dingy . Needs to be updated badly. They don't take trash out or refill paper while the tournament is going on. The person who was emptying the trash was standing outside of the women's bathroom waiting on a lady inside. I went in to get the trash for him but there wasn't anyone in there so he could have waited awhile. There is this light and music game they have at the end of the parking lot that is not working correctly. It's fun but needs to be fixed. The concession stand doesn't have a very good variety of foods.
Beautiful well maintained green space
It was used to train helicopter pilots during the Vietnam era, that is why it is paved the way it is. They held mud bogs here in the 80's, and they had good size crowds. It is a nice park.
Sad no money gets spent on the Baseball and Softball fields on this side of Bryan County yet all the fields in Richmond Hill are new and updated. So many tournaments could be played here that would generate income for the area. I give 2 stars because they did add a turf football field and the employees who work there are awesome and do all they can with what the have.
