Our experience with Hennessey Valley was nothing short of amazing. We lost both of our parents in January within 10 days of one another and the crushing weight of loss, paired with all of the post-mortem tasks that come with closing out the external lives of our parents, was brutal. Trent and his colleagues made everything so smooth and easy. Trent walked us through the steps and it seemed like every time we had a question, it was already taken care of by Hennessey Valley. They truly made this process as easy as it could have been under the circumstances. Trent was genuinely compassionate and we felt like we, and our parents, were treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Just today, Hannah reached out to let us know that she was thinking of us and they would be celebrating our father as it is his birthday today. I would not hesitate to recommend Hennessey Valley to anyone. They are simply fantastic!
Although our family has lived in the Spokane area for over 35 years, we had no need to utilize funeral services until the unexpected and sudden death of our unmarried son, age 40. During this time, we, as parents, were out of the country. Our two daughters were left to make the decision as to where his body should be sent. The Valley Hennessey funeral home was decided upon. We could not have been more pleased upon our arrival two days later. The facility was appropriate for the service with the chapel/service area being welcoming for the 150 in attendance. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Trent, the funeral director, and his team were exceptional during our process of planning for our son’s final resting while we experienced deep grief. He listened and did not attempt to provide a “sales pitch.” The service was what we had desired with Trent and the entire team providing support as we adjusted the video show, the music, and the program. Our son’s final resting is in central Montana, so coordination was necessary between two funeral homes. The organization between the two businesses went smoothly and our son’s burial was professionally managed. The support for us did not end with the service and burial. The death certificates were received in a timely manner and family support has continued throughout periodic outreach to us by Trent and the team. Although our grief remains deep, we are comforted by having chosen the Valley Hennessey business.

We could not have chosen a more kind, compassionate, accommodating and professional funeral service on very short notice than Hennessy Valley in Spokane Valley. Trent Nielsen and his staff expedited a very complex process for us following the sudden and tragic death of our son. Because we were from out of state, Trent met with us after hours in the evening and was always available by phone, provided time and room for our final viewing and had his remains available to bring home with us with all the necessary paperwork within a few days. Trent arranged placement of the obituaries and constructed a stunning audiovisual tribute on the website. I would recommend Hennessey Valley funeral services, Trent Neilsen and his staff without reservation. They provided a bit of light in a dark and cold time in our lives.

Hennessey did a great job for us. My mother in-law passed away in July of 2021 at the grand age of 101 years old. Hennessey handled her cremation for us and did so in a very caring manner. My husband unfortunately, passed away unexpectedly in December of 2022 and he asked that I use Hennessey for his cremation. Once again,. Hennessey did a fantastic job for me. Eileen was absolutely fantastic and super friendly to work with.
Had an unexpected death in family and Hennessey was compassionate, helpful, patient and available. Made the whole process manageable. Every question was handled with care and compassion. I went in reluctantly and now feel my loved one could not have been in better loving hands
Great and caring staff! Walking us gently, paying attention to our concerns as we process these final arrangement for our Mother. It made a painful process much more bearable. How do you shop for a funeral home, to take care of your child, when they unexpectedly passed away. You don't really, you just kind of look at listings for all the available options, and try to make an informed decision. I came to Aileen right after my son passed away. I was emotional, not really thinking straight, and had a very fluid situation with family trying to get out to be with us. Had a meeting the next day, and I could not have asked for a better person and place to help us. Went there on a Thursday morning, and with the help of these folks, was able to have a service a couple days later, on the weekend. I am so thankful to have found Hennessey Valley- Aileen and the staff are simply the best. Our service was held inside the building, with a cremation to follow later. They helped us find a Pastor to facilitate the service, and that was this fabulous gentleman named Mike W. Included in the service is music of your choosing, and they had a beautiful slideshow, using pictures that we provided. With the music and photos, you simply tell them what songs you would like, and email the photos. Hennessey basically took care of every possible thing we needed, and helped us with the things we did not even think of. An exceptional business with exceptional people.
Hennessey Valley Funeral home was phenomenal with helping out and setting up the details for my dads funeral. Would absolutely recommend to anyone! They went above and beyond to get everything done and completed based on our tight timeline and cared about family from out of town as well.
