I absolutely hate this store, they send you coupons to get you in the store, then you go to purchase something and you can't use the coupon. The only time I go in this store is black Friday. Even then same problem. Tried to buy a coat for my daughter with a coupon,and of course, not with that coat, then I had two 20 dollars for using my credit card. Even that I couldn't use on anything I wanted. Will not go back, even on black Friday. They lost my business.
I had a really great experience a few weeks ago. I went in to buy a new pair of boots. The sales associate was amazing! She helped find another pair for me and it was on sale. I love a good deal and a steal! ;
Sunday October 2nd at 11:10 I went to the Northtown location for the Goodwill sale. There were not many shoppers in the store. I headed to the petite section. A very loud manager who's conversation with the employee carried across the department where I overheard the conversation like I was standing there with them. Good and bad news she told the employee...you will be covered for a break today but someone did not come in and her helper would be sent to the front of the store to pass out coupons. This set the mood for the rest of the shopping experience that day. That clerk was faced with clothes packed up in the dressing room almost as tall as me 5 feet. The clerk was irritated if she was tracked down to ring up a purchase, she was cold and short if she was asked a question. I started heading to another area of womens clothing that girl really went out of her way to dodge me. Went to the Clinique counter and was greeted with smiles how can I help you. They must not be employees of Herbergers, way to cheerful. If this is what the opening hour of the day is like what happens by the end of the day. I did purchase form the Clinique counter...put back my clothing purchases. I just felt like I did not want to ever shop there again. This was a repeat experience with this location and honestly this is the last place I look for a item- I will start at other womens clothing stores first Herbergers last. If you are management keep your dirty laundry to yourself-customers do not need to share the work experience and it sets the tone for your workforce.
Donna, one of the mangers at the store provides horrible customer service. My fiancé was out shopping to buy a new wardrobe, and she asked me to accompany her. When it came time to try the clothes on she asked me to accompany her to the fitting room area. Shortly after arriving Donna stopped by and yelled at me telling me that I couldn't be in the women's fitting area. She told me to leave immediately. Never mind that my fiancé has medical issues and sometimes needs assistance. For all Donna cared, my fiancé could have an issue and be left to fend for herself because she didn't want me in the fitting room area. She continued to bark at me while I was trying to get my fiancé's purse. She also yelled at us because she said we brought too many clothes to try on. She told us there was a limit of six items in the fitting room. Interestingly enough, there is no signs in the fitting room to inform customers of either of the items that she yelled at us for. Donna was in such a hurry to get me out of the fitting room that she wouldn't even allow me to put the chair that I had brought into the fitting room back where I found it. I would have expected her to return the chair back to where it was located so that it wasn't in the way of guests. But she completely neglected to do that. Once outside the fitting room I inquired with her about Herberger's transgender policy to learn how they handle those issues since they have no gender neutral fitting rooms. She had no idea what the policy was. I asked her to get me the information. She informed me that she would get me that information. I informed her where she could find me when she got the information. However, she never returned. I later saw her in another location in the store. I asked her what information she had found. She said that she hadn't even looked. I asked her if she needed a phone number so that she could provide me with the information. She then told me to just call corporate. She had absolutely no interest in helping me out. She has ZERO customer service skills. The only saving grace in the whole trip was a sales associate named Evelyn. She provided amazing customer service. She helped us find items in the store, unlike another associate that refused to help us with anything. She actually made us feel like a valued guest, unlike the management of the store who treated customers like they were an unwelcome nuisance.
I called the Roseville store looking for a outfit from the ad. The clerk said she was too busy to help me. she asked me to call back, when I said I could hold she put me on hold. when she came back she said she still had 2 more customers she was waiting on w, when I said I would wait she sighed o=into the phone and said ok. I was starting to get annoyed then reminded myself she was working alone. I waited and after 5minutes I heard a click on the phone, so I said hello. then I heard a loud sigh! at this point I was angry and disappointed. I know she was on the other end, what I did not understand was why she didn't call for help. I am used to better service. I normally shop the Midway location I will not be dealing with this store again. I waited another 5 minutes befor hanging up. then I went to the Midway location and even though they didn't have the outfit they were able to order it using the web number listed in the ad! the lady in the dress department was courteous, efficient and nice. I think her name was jenny. I look for her every time I shop!
Though store is closing, associates continue to give best service possible. Manager walks the store with leadership to make sure customers are being taken care. Thank you for years of service to the Blaine community.
Horrible experience. Treat me like a theif when I only had one return at this damn place. I feel they solicite all black people returns because the first time it took a manager to over ride. Embarrassed would be an understatement how the manager talked to me in from of customers! That is why I prefer MACYS at least they have technology to look up ur purchase with the debit card you paid with if for. Get y'all technology up before treated all blacks like thieves. I hope MACYS run y'all straight out of business. Now I'm stuck with a dress a cant fit
The sales seem a bit disingenuous, often items can be found for less other places with a stated higher msrp on tags here to exaggerate markdowns. Like most department stores they are a suffering Enterprise as the nature of consumer spending has changed, their business has not been able to adapt as best buy or Target are trying, and even they are having difficulties.
My grandmother, mother and myself were leaving via the Herbergers exit in Northtown mall. It was a few minutes before closing and we were on our out way out when we noticed a couple items and stopped to scan them quickly to check prices. I was putting a coat BACK IN PLACE instead of leaving it wherever and some employee a black lady in her late 20s-30s tall, shoulder length hair that was strait. I was looking at a pink Calvin Klein jacket she was"working" near the cashier/desk by them rudely called out "You have two minutes" she just shouted it out to me instead of "excuse me were closing very soon" or any number of more polite things she could of said she was incredibly rude. My family shops at Herbergers often and I am incredibly offended at such bad customer service. I work retail so I understand that these people have lives and want to go home, but we were on our way out and only stopped for a moment to check items and put them BACK IN PLACE. We were there Wednesday April 6th a little before 9pm. My apologies if we inconvenienced employees, but with as much honesty as I can expect people to believe we were not disruptive and were leaving promptly. Dissapointed
This is more of a complaint regarding the website. I placed an order last night for a polo Ralph Lauren camo hoodie. It was on sale for only $40. Great deal so I bought this morning I received an email stating my order had been canceled and that the sweater was not in stock and my money will be returned in 3 business days. I just find it ridiculous we send probes to Pluto but they don't have a system to check stock lol. I've tried to see if Herbergers would come to some sort or resolution with me but they are unwilling and cite procedures as the reasoning, despite how great deals can be itll likely be my last experience with this company
